Comments about PRS Stripped' 58 Electric Guitar:
This is too nice to gig. I have some used hot rodded LPs for that. The pot arrangement is different than an LP, I prefer the LP. One pot on the PRS is too close to the bridge, but that is just how I play..I have the same problem with Strats. But the PRS plays wonderfully, is bullet proof and is gorgeous. You can get a good or bad Les Paul (although Gibson has uped their game), but every PRS I have owned or played has been perfect. I also much prefer the two piece LP style bridge and tail piece. Thanks PRS.

Comments about PRS Stripped' 58 Electric Guitar:
It's a PRS, just beautiful guitars to look at and play. It's a hefty price tag but you get what you pay for I guess. I would probably have gone with the full SC 58 but the color I wanted is not available.
I've wanted a single cut PRS since I was a teenager, and I'm glad I waited. The 2 piece adjustable bridge design looks so much better, at least for single cuts.
If you're debating between the SC 58 or Les Paul (standard), it's all about preference IMO. You can't go wrong either way. However, I think PRS has distinct themselves from Gibson by creating an instrument as well as a piece of art. Literally speaking, I could hang it on a wall and people could admire it.
Comments about PRS Stripped' 58 Electric Guitar:
I was at first disappointed in the level of flame on my particular model however I bought it to play not to look at necessarily. It's still a gorgeous guitar and I'm nitpicking I guess. Ended up keeping it anyway because of the sound and playability.
PRS' take on the Gibby LP. Tune-o-matic style bridge, single cutaway, 24.5" scale, volume and tone knobs for each pickup, bird inlays, etc.
It's "stripped" because compared to the standard SC58 there is no neck binding (which I prefer) and the maple tops aren't necessarily highly figured or "10 Top." The one I got has a one piece top instead of bookmatched.
Built like a tank. Impeccable craftmanship and level to detail.
I rate a 5 only because it's a high priced guitar. No "bang for the buck" it that sense however still worth every penny. It's not going to magically transform you into a great player but you are getting the best quality production guitar out there. It doesn't get much better than this.
Comments about PRS Stripped' 58 Electric Guitar:
What can you say, it's a PRS. I love everything about the two I own. The very best build quality, materials, and tone make them King of the Hill in the guitar world. Others come close, but just can't quite match this company.
All one really needs is riight here. The 57/08 pickups are not over-hyped, they are simply amazing. 3-way selector provides three very distinct tones, all incredible. Two volume and two tones controls, great control at your fingertips. Simplicity has never been this great.
PRS quality control is un-equalled by any other US manufacturer, nobody else is in the same league. Every Gibson I've ever bought has had some sort of defect, whether it be a scratch or poor finish work. PRS is different, nothing leaves the factory that isn't perfect and beautiful. Enough said.
Okay, so they are not cheap. Nothing with this much "touch labor" is cheap. The combination of build quality and remarkable tone make it well worth the price.
