Comments about PRS Studio Electric Guitar:
On thing that required adjustment is the height of the P/U's. I had to raise the bridge P/U a bit to raise the volumn to keep up with the N/F's.
This guitar has several different sounds-from single coil like sounds in the front two Narrow Field P/U's to gnarly H/B sounds in the bridge P/U. It also mixes the N/F's split with single coils in the neck/middle and middle/bridge positions. The bridge P/U coiled tapped with the middle P/U brings on a Tele sound.
The trem is a good one-the first I have ever had but it stays in tune-good for me.
Workmanship is impeccable. Mine has the "Pattern" neck which is in between my 07 American Deluxe Tele and 10 R8 Le Paul. The V12 finish is not tacky-the neck is fast and easy to play. Fret work is top rate and the nut is cut just right.
I didn't get a 10 Top but the top on this guitar is unique and quite pretty-in my opinion. This is my first PRS but probably won't be my last mainly due to the fast neck. It also came with the nicest case this side of a Martin Geib case. It is thick, heavy and provides protection to the guitar. Also, it is made of wood-I hate guitar cases that have the metal edge around the circumference. I am always afraid of scratching the guitar when I place it in the case.
