Comments about PRS Ted McCarty DC 245 Soapbar Electric Guitar:
Ok guys, this is my 5th PRS that I currently own. I have had older PRS McCarty Soapbars, but I have to say this Ted McCarty blows all of them away.
I currently own a Ted McCarty Goldtop DC 245 with 59/09 & 57/08 pickups, a 20th Anniversary McCarty with 57/08s, Custom 22 with 57/08s and a 2012 PRS Studio. All PRSs feel the same.
The neck profile is a PRS pattern regular shape and comes with a 24.5 scale which makes this guitar a dream to play. Extremely comfortable to play and the tone of this guitar is to die for. It has this a great full punchy singlecoil sound.
I play this through a Mesa Boogie Lonestar or VOX AC15C and mainly Xotic, Strymon and Eventide effects. Sounds insanely good through anything.
I got mine in an Amber Black 10-top. Highly recommend this guitar to anyone.
