The PRS Tonare Grand Custom Acoustic-Electric Guitar offers a very prominent voice, as well as substantial volume and midrange. The Tonare Grand is wonderful for all-around strumming and lends itself well to flatpickers as well.
The guitar's top is Adirondack spruce—a rare and highly desirable wood known for its balanced tone and light appearance. The Paul Reed Smith acoustic-electric guitar's cocobolo back and sides offer rich tone to match the dark-grain appearance.
Rosewood back and sides are revered as guitar tonewoods for their big sound and balanced projection and for their surprising strength of sound and timbre. The Tonare guitar's mahogany neck adds a slight softness to the Grand Custom for a well-rounded tone. A set neck maintains the guitar's structural integrity, so there's no drop-off in tone. You'll hear the full richness of the amazing PRS Tonare Grand Custom guitar with every strum.
The Tonare guitar's cocobolo bridge and fingerboard offer lasting sustain and a sleek look. The wide-neck shape, 1-3/4" nut width, and 12" radius mean comfort for intricate movements along the guitar's 21 frets. Robson hand-machined tuners keep precise tuning.
The PRS acoustic pickup system provides easy amplification and flawlessly reproduces the Tonare acoustic-electric guitar's full, natural tone. The volume knob is mounted just inside the soundhole. The onboard preamp uses two 9-volt batteries to provide massive headroom that's highly useful in live situations. You can play hard and crank it up loud without fear of overdriving the preamp or distorting.
Dressed in a luxurious nitrocellulose finish and graced with aluminum/bronze hardware, highly decorative fingerboard inlays, and abalone binding and rosette design, the PRS Tonare Grand Custom guitar will cause a commotion every time you take it out of its case.
