Absolutely love this guitar. PRS quality through and through. I wish it was made in USA, but I cannot afford those. The Koreans seem to be doing a great job. Paul Reed Smith himself set up the factory as a copy of his US factory in Stevensville, MD. They use high grade mahogany that has been dried properly.
I have the vintage cherry model, there are several features that make it stand out including full binding around body, neck & headstock, bird inlays and flawless high gloss finish.
Guitar arrived perfectly set up, neck & action were EXACTLY how I like them. Is an excellent guitar, I would rate 8.5/10.
For me, it is my #3 guitar. That is not meant as a diss, this guitar is right behind my SG Standard and Les Paul Custom. It is higher than several other guitars & I like it more than any Fender I have.
If you want some negatives, I can give some, but it is really nit picking, the guitar is excellent as is. There is no maple top or veneer, just very plain grain mahogany. Pickups & tuning keys are good, not super duper & could be upgraded if you are gigging musician and wanted this to be a #1. I wanted to experience a new PRS guitar, and maybe have a decent knock around axe that I could loan out as a learner guitar. I got much more than that and would recommend this guitar to anyone.

Comments about PRS Tremonti SE Electric Guitar:

Excellent instrument!!I have top end Gibson's and i prefer the playability of these axes anyday!!I can't imagine playing top of the line P.R.S,i think it would simply be heaven on earth!!!Even though they're built in Korea, they must have some serious quality control there, for they're superior to anything else I've played American or imported.
The P.R.S. Tremonti S.E. features a beautiful cherry reddish finish,or sleek black finish,I have both.i get more compliments on the cherry, but the black is beautiful, that's why i bought a second one.It has a mahogany body and a mahogany neck, nickel hardware, plastic binding, nice fret job.I would've rather had ivory binding ,but for the price you can't beat this axe.
The mahogany is very resonate, and it has unending sustain and harmonics for days!!i 've bumped it against a few things and it did'nt even so much as knock out of tune or put a ding in it.Very solid guitar, has black speed knobs all lined up perfect, very solid guitar, stays in tune well and i mean well.I've played lots of gigs with this as my main guitar and either one can handle the rigors of the road.Never broken a string onstage very easy on strings if you keep the fretboard well lubbed, which everyone should do.Excellent quality!!!
Best bang for the buck!!

Excellent guitar

Comments about PRS Tremonti SE Electric Guitar:

I ordered the vintage cherry version of the PRS Tremonti SE and wow what a beautiful guitar. I couldn't be happier with the looks of this guitar. The sound is amazing. This guitar has easily the best sounding neck pickup I've ever heard, the bridge pickup has awesome sound with distortion. I can only imagine how much better the actual Tremonti pickups must sound. The body resonates very well and sustains forever. The neck is a great shape and plays very well and fast. The only complaints I have is no locking tuners although the tuners it comes with work very well and hold tune good. Also wish it had an adjustable bridge to set proper intonation, but it is very close. Overall I am very pleased and can see myself keeping this guitar for a long time.

Wow! Very Impressed!

Comments about PRS Tremonti SE Electric Guitar:

I am really happy with this guitar. I purchased it as a backup, and to have a beater guitar, but I can see this guitar having a place in our sets and being used quite often.
I sounds just as good as any other I have had over the years.
I went with this version of the PRS singlecuts because of the features.
Having a seperate volume and tone control is really helpfull for solos. The neck is pretty beefy,
This newer version with the slightly carved top and bird inlays looks as good as guitars 3 times its price range.
I gave it a 9 cause I really want to see how long it stays looking this good.
Comparing others in this price range there is just nothing else anywhere near this nice.

Comments about PRS Tremonti SE Electric Guitar:

I have USA made Jacksons, BC Richs, ESPs, etc. This guitar is in the same league with them all, for a lot less.

Out of the box it sounds great. The only changes I made were to change the bridge pickup ( the stock was good, I just waned a SD Custom) and added locking tuners (personal preference).

Sounds great. Neck pickup is very nice. Very satisfied.
Good solid features. If it came with name brand pickups, I would have given it a 10. The stock pickups are very good though.

Regardless of what you think of Mark Tremonti as a guitar player, this axe is a solid piece of gear. Mark spec'd out a solid instrument.

Comments about PRS Tremonti SE Electric Guitar:

I've been wanting a PRS for a while now and reading the other reviews pushed me into .....ok it's time to buy.

I own several guitars from Gibsons, Fenders to my main stay ESP signiture series, I had the PRS tuned up within a min and spent the next hour running it through it's paces.......I love this guitar!!!!!

I look forward to using it as my new main stay.

If your thinking about it.......BUY IT!
Great tone, stays in tune, and the fret board is easy to get around.
I bought this used from MF in "good" condition. The guitar came in with a small nick in the very top of the guitar which I fixed with a black magic marker. Otherwise the guitar was in mint condition.
I bought mine used but it's worth every penny at the regular price.

This is my first electric guitar. I have it since one year. It sounds incredible to me,not sure about what others think. I love its fretboard both look wise and feeling wise. The string gets untuned after some heavy strumming only sometimes not all time. I have a peavey vypyr 30 and it sounds awesome with it. The metal settings sounds great with this guitar. The pickups sound better than the EMGhz series. But soon i'm going to switch to the EMG 81,85. I love this guitar i'll never sell it i'll keep it life long. The clean settings also sound good with the blend of both the pickups. go to your nearest guitar shop and try it once.

Comments about PRS Tremonti SE Electric Guitar:

I was not not sure when I ordered this from MF.Got the Cherry finish and I was very pleased with how nice it looks. I think the white binding and the bird inlays sets this apart from others in its price range. The set up was good right out of the box and it came with a pretty nice cherry gig bag. I play mostly blues and rock and have always alternated between my Strat and LP. I was worried about playing blues with this but it sound great through my Blues deluxe. It is nice and light and the neck is smooth and fast.

I wanted to try a PRS but could not afford one till now. I know it is not a USA PRS but its as close as I'm gonna get. I am 50 years old and have been rocking since knee high to a grasshopper and to be honest I did not know who Tremonti was until I read reviews on the Guitar. The name on the Guitar does not bother me,its the feel and how you play. Pick one up for this price, you really cant go wrong!!

Comments about PRS Tremonti SE Electric Guitar:

I tried this guitar at a local store. The quality is excellent, as is the playability. No set up was necessary. You can tell that it was made with care and attention to detail. The sound is fantastic. I really enjoy playing this instrument and would recommend it to anyone interested in this style of guitar. With 58 years of experience playing guitar I must say that I am very pleased and surprised with this instrument. It costs a fraction of what I have paid for my other guitars and is a great deal of fun to play.

Comments about PRS Tremonti SE Electric Guitar:

I've always wanted a PRS, but couldn't afford a more expensive model. I love Tremonti's work, and wanted his more expensive signature, but I settled on this one. I wasn't expecting much...I was wrong. It can play anything you throw at it. The tone, which is an area I thought the guitar would lack in, was outstanding. I own SG's, a Viper 1000, a Telecaster and more. It destroyed everyone of those guitars. I gave this guitar a perfect rating because it deserves it.

I have been playing this guitar for about 3 months now. I have a LP USA, and a old Vox. I never pick them up any more. This guitar is so easy to play it makes me sick. for a little over 500 bucks you can't go wrong. It sounds and plays as good as most $2000.00 guitars and I'm not just saying that because I own one. I have played lots of guitar in the past 40 years and this PRS SE sound and play right up there with them. All I can say is get one you won't be sorry.

I traded my Ibanez rg5sp1 for this. My friend let me play his PRS 4 days prior to buying this. When playing this in the store, people came up to me to tell me how great this was. I couldn't agree more. I play worship music, which calls for a wide range of sounds. I can flip the switch and completely change my sound and tone. This also handles any rock or metal that I throw at it. This is a great guitar from a great company.

The neck is perfect, and the finish is amazing. PRS did a great job building such a great quality guitar for how much you pay. And the gig bag that comes with it is very nice. If you're considering this guitar, buy it. You won't regret it!

Comments about PRS Tremonti SE Electric Guitar:

For me there is no better guitar without moving way up in price. I was trying to buy a versatile guitar in this price range for a couple months. The semi-hollow body ones were good on jazz and some of the tunes, but really hard to keep in tune. The single coil ones are good on some things, but too bright on others. The guitars that supposedly do everything don't really do anything with excellence. Darn do I wish I had a few thousand dollars to have a quiver of super guitars. I ended up keeping this Tremonti because it has a warm sound, nice neck, and plays in tune every time. I only tune every 3-4 songs as oppposed to every song on other things in this range. I have a bunch of fun pedals to add versatility. Great for pop, jazz, rock, and hard rock. I am not a metal head, so I may change pickups when I get the chance since they are a little chunky for my versatile style. Everyone who has picked it up says that it plays really dreamy.
A little chunky for a versatile player, but it plays so well that it more than makes up for it. Warm sound. Stays in tune. No setup needed.
Super neck; no setup needed; stays in tune.
Happy they put quality into body and neck. I can upgrade pickups and tuners when I get the money.

Love the white binding on the gloss black body, which continues through the neck and headstock. Beautiful guitar. The bird inlays are awesome. The black humbuckers are a great look set in the high gloss black body and the chrome hardware set the entire look off with class. The volume and tone knobs are a little plain but they look fine also. Love the seperate volume-tone konbs for each pickup and the three way toggle switch is in the perfect position. The guitar has a solid feel with great balance and the weight is perfect. I couldn't be happier with this guitar. For the price I don't believe it can be beat. The pickups are hot, the tuners are smooth and sensitive and the one piece stoptail bridge looks great as well as serving it's purpose.

This is my new number one, I normally avoid signature guitars like the plague but this one is so sweet I had to buy it. This thing is so diverse in sound and play-ability, and is a joy to play. The gig bag that comes with it is well made and would cost at least 100 separately. I bought it during the PRS Holiday Gift promotion which when mailed in came with a 18' cable, coffee cup, beanie, sticker, strap and lanyard totaling at least 75 plus for free - really awesome of PRS to do that. Mostly played Schecter and Gibson before this but I've got to say I'm a PRS convert. Highly Recommended!!
