My Rosso Corsa Wave guitar arrived well set up and only required minor tuning before my first test drive. At first it seemed a little strange to play (my reference was my vintage '61 Gibson ES330T and a Fender Strat)but the strangeness soon faded into a very comfortable playing experience. I found myself doing fingerings that have eluded me in recent years on my Gibson (I'm an old guy with arthritic hands)and began to really like this guitar. After changing the supplied strings for D'Addario flat wound jazz lites and making the appropriate adjustments to the neck and bridge to accomodate the string change, the Wave became an old friend very quickly. The neck is quick, upper frets are really easy (and comfortable) to get at, and this axe will sustain like a bell. The tone combinations seem endless and the control placement although at first strange, soon become instantly accessable. I adjusted very quickly to the inovative design of this guitar and found it very playable, proving I guess, that you really can teach an old dog new tricks. I like to play standards from the 40's and 50's in a chord melody jazz style and some classic rock and it seems that the more I play this guitar, the more I want to. One more thing... this is one awesome looking instrument. All in all, pretty impressive.
I bought an RKS Wave Ocean Pearl minutes before playing a gig, and I didn't put the guitar down once that night. I have 8 guitars, including a 1976 Gibson Les Paul and overall, this one has the best sound and feel of any guitar I've heard or played. Also mine was the first rks bought in the state of Maine, so it was an honor to try out what I believe is one of the best guitars on the market today. Try it, you won't be dissappointed.
I got a rossa corsa wave in october 06, and I've been hooked on its great feel, punchy pop-punk tone, and sick looks ever since. This is a great guitar for any guitarist who wants to play something totally new and original. You won't find a guitar on the market thats like this! I recommend this guitar for punk rock players especially, but its sounds great with classic rock and jazz too.
Ok; I have been playing guitar for eight or nine year now and have played a good many guitars. I picked this one up at a Ken Stanton and I have to say that I instantly fell in love with it. The neck is great, very fast, and even out of the box the action is pretty good. The pickups are super hot and this thing has MASSIVE sustain! As far as the looks go, they have to grow on you. They are kind of strange at first but you begin to like the very quick. Also; a really cool feature is the replaceable shell, if it breaks or you get sick the color, just order a different one. My conclusion is this: For the price this guitar truly is the best in its class. I strongly recommend it.
