My friend purchased his Rogue Acoustic Electric Dreadnought about 2 months ago and I loved it the moment I held it, first off I was impressed with the neck, not to thick but not to thin, it (like Goldilocks) was just right, the next thing I noticed is his had a Fishman Presys system as opposed to the Classic 4 as advertised but then another friend of mine ordered one and it used the Classic 4, so I'm assuming the newer ones use the Presys but you may get one with the Classic 4, however both systems are superior to anything offered by any other acoustic electric dreadnought at it's price point, the guitar came strung with Martin strings as was set up perfectly out of box, the tuners leave a little bit to be desired however, they are your standard cheap "sealed tuners" they're Gotah copies which in my experience are hit and miss, I've seen them on several affordable guitars and I've seen cases where all of them work decently, I've seen cases where some worked and some didn't,
I've seen cases where none worked properly at all however because this guitar comes with a great neck, good tone and Fishman electronics it's easy to overlook the cheap tuners and they're easily replaced with either Grover Mid Size Rotomatics or real Gotahs with no modifications necessary, just unscrew the old, pop in the new, tighten the screws and then you're ready to go and rock n roll, the fit and finish seems to be near perfect, I couldn't spot any blemishes whatsoever, I own a Kona K1E guitar that's about the same price as this guitar and in my opinion the Kona (while a very nice guitar) doesn't compete for the price, another great thing about the Rogue is that for the money you pay, you don't have to be afraid to uses it at your canvas to create one of a kind guitar art, put on new tuners, a new pickguard, whatever you want to do to make it yours and yours alone, this guitar is amazing and is highly recommended by me.

Overall I like the guitar. Played it today actually. I guess I was a little more disappointed about the Customer Service and warranty. not worth shipping back for repairs. maybe they should have mentioned they would cover the costs.
Took it out of the carton and it was a shining black beauty. I really liked it.
nice but not perfect... accoustic sounded ok, but electrified sounded better. I guess what I do have a complaint about is the led power indicator did not work. I suspected the "included battery" so I bout a new one and inserted it with same result. I contaced Customer Service and asked them to get me a batter/power module sent and I will fix it. They couldnt do that and said I can ship it back. They never issued a shipping authorization in the email so I figured the shipping cost was on me. I kept it, but learned a lesson.
It's worht the $$$ that it's offered at and what I paid if everything worked. That's what was intended when it was manufactured

Bought this for my son we had a small gig coming up and he needed a acoustic electric where he could plug in and get over the drums. This is the best 99.00 I have ever spent. Thanks musicians friend for having good items at low cost.

Comments about Rogue Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

At first sight, the guitar is stunning in it's orange and black sunburst color. The all-over glossy finish was well done, and (other than the color) this looks like a more expensive instrument. Factory strings had some rust and were greenish in color, so I checked the setup and adjusted the nut a bit, then replaced them immediately with Martin MS4100's. The nut adjustment is common, so it's not a particularly bad thing on this guitar. I noticed that the jack was loose, so while the strings were off I needed to reach way inside the body to tighten it. Mine came with Fishman Presys electronics (which have a built-in tuner) rather than the Fishman Classic 4 (which does not have tuner), so I was happy with that. Overall I have been vary happy with the Rogue guitars, and consider them as good as most mid-range acoustics from Yamaha, Ibanez, Takamine, etc.

Gave my old Martin to my son in-law & grandson several months ago due to losing sensitivity in my fingers because of diabetic neuropathy. Found that I couldn't stand being without a guitar. Ordered this without great expectations but was greatly surprised by the very good quality of this instrument. This is definitely not your normal "bargain quality guitar." Looks Great - Sounds Great (Both acoustic & On amp) - Plays Great

I bought this guitar seceral years ago and I could not have found a better beater hundred buck ax. It sounded good, which is good since I normally play Guilds and Martins standard. This guitar is a copy of a D-28 and while it is not nearly as full sounding as a martin, it is not bad and I have had offers to buy it for double my purchase price.
Mines is special because it has the herringbone trim which was discontinued....my good luck.
I returned a takamine and sold my Ovation Celebrities because this guitar did what they did better. This is the best guitar for the money even over Epi, yamaha Ibanez and Alvarezs, fender, dean, and Luna. This is the best deal for a good sub two hundred buck guitar.

Input jack was loose. Upon further inspection (unscrewing the nuts that held it in place and then pulling the entire jack out), I found that the washers were too big for the jack itself. Tightening the nut was useless as it would just slip back over the thread. Either replacing or repairing now.

The guitar I ordered and which the email states I purchased WAS NOT the guitar I received via UPS. Instead of the Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar which I planned to use Saturday, May 25, I received on May 24 an Ibanez Electric Guitar, which I COULD NOT USE and which I promptly returned. The refund has not yet (as of this morning, 7/7/13) shown up on my credit card. Fourth order, first time I have had any complaint.

Comments about Rogue Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I knew it wasn't going to be a Taylor or Martin when I bought this guitar but overall I am very pleased. While I have my gripes I wouldn't hesitate to buy another as a second/beater guitar. If you are an intermediate/pro player this guitar will at best be useable for those purposes. As a beginer you could very well use this as a primary learning insturment. The body is thinner than I had expected and doesn't seem to me like a full size dread, but thats just me. Because the body is thin the non-plugged sound is thinner, not horribly so though - Bass notes can still be heard and it has a nice crisp sound - I've heard much worse for much more money. I was really surprised at how well the action was adjusted and had a very nice and quick feel to it, almost as good as many electric guitars! The Fishman electronics are spot on and make the guitar worth way more than the asking price in my opinion. The sounds I got out of the guitar plugged in just had to be the biggest wow factor for me. I went out on the limb and bought mine in transparent blue and I wasn't disapointed here either. The finsh has a nice blue saturation and allows the wood grain to show through. The sides and back of the body are blue as are the back of the neck and headstock - a nice touch. Overall it's a really decent guitar, but at the end of the day when you play it you can feel that its cheap. I cannot describe why or how other than the overall feel of the guitar. I like this guitar and I think it's probably worth even more than they are asking but don't be fooled if you've played enough really high end acoustic guitars you'll feel the cheapness as soon as you play this. At the end of the day buy the guitar for what it is and keep things in perspective and you won't be disapointed!

Comments about Rogue Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This is my first mail-order acoustic guitar but it is a decent guitar. The neck had quite a bit of bow to it when it arrive. The truss rod was loose but I was able to tighten up and is just right. The fretboard was in bad need of some lemon oil because it was not conditioned at the factory. After a little care, it is a nice guitar. The built-in tuner is nice. I was disappointed there was no strap button on the neck.
