I highly recommend this package to anyone who wants a great guitar without a reasonable price tag. I had planned on leaving this guitar at the center where I teach. It is so much fun to play and feel so GOOD! Now, I have to buy another because this one is staying at home with me. I received the guitar a few days after I ordered it. The guitar was packed very well and was in perfect condition when I received. Thank you.
Great features of the package.
Right out of box, I was impressed to see so much quality for a package priced so reasonable. The guitar neck was in great shape. It may need a few more passes with the sand paper. However, I always do a set-up on my new guitars (Paul Reed Smith, Gibson, Epiphone, Yamaha, Ibanez, Seagull, and Samick Royale). The sound was pretty good for a beginner. I love to play it.
Great guitar package for the price. Fantastic. Great Value.

Ok, so I got this guitar for Christmas. I actually thought this would be a good present for my 6 year old brother who is learning how to play. Someone got it for me and as soon as I saw the brand name, my heart sunk. I am an intermediate guitarist and play hard rock in my band. I have an electric-acoustic that is very nice and quite expensive and hooked up to a distortion pedal sounds really good. This electric was to be my first electric so I suppose i had high expectations. So, long story short later I plug it in and it was kind of what I was expecting. TERRIBLE! Everything in this package is cheaply made. Thee amp only sounds not terrible on high overdrive, the strap digs in to your shoulder really bad, so I reccomend playing it sitting down or getting a new strap. The gig bag is paper thin with flimsy zippers and no protection at all. The cable is very cheaply made as well and gets stuck in the input on the amp. The guitar has terrible strings and pick ups. Pro's are: it's light and the neck is very smooth. Good for young beginners who want an electric.

Comments about Rogue Rocketeer Electric Guitar Pack:
A great set up for the price. However remember folks this is not a five bill Strat here It is what it is. It's a great guitar and amp for the price. Mine was great right out of the box The strings need some streching befor tuning, but they work ok. The Amp is again great for what it is used for. I like the base boost. Also, the cable is great its not a great pro cabele, but as I said it is what it is a great setup for a beginer and or an experianced player who appriciates his equipment. You can't beat the price. I'm very pleased with it. My friends are snobish about the brand name but when they played it they changed their mind. Do order extra strings and a better gig bag or case as these work well but they are not the best. I didn't have a set up done on mine however if you are not skilled at that sort of thing it's worth it to have a pro set up done. As I said mine was great right out of the box. All I did was tune it and maybe strech the strings a bit when re-tuning it. Exellent bang for your buck!!!

Comments about Rogue Rocketeer Electric Guitar Pack:
I had this for a year now and I love it. The amp has a jack you can plug headphones into, so I bought JVC HA-RX300 stereo headphones here at Musician's Friend, too (to keep from bothering the neighbors......lol!). The headphones come with a small jack for your computer and a large jack adapter for your amp. I also bought a FAB chorus pedal for a cool sound. Out of the box, I found the tremolo bridge to be too high. You can go to YouTube for videos on how to tweak your guitar the way you want it. So personally, I prefer not to use the tremolo. I set the tremolo bridge lower (to get the strings closer to the fretboard) by tightening the two spring screws all the way up (in the back, inside the cover). I also use and prefer a regular light gauge string set. So, I got the tremolo bridge to set flush on the body, sanded off the lacquer on the back of the neck (so you can move your hand faster on the fretboard) and re-strung it with D'Addario nickel wound XL strings. The pick-ups are NICE, too! After spending several hours playing it and a year later, I thought I'd give it a big thumbs up. Next, I'm going to get a rock distortion (or a metal distortion) and a delay pedal to go with my chorus pedal. I buy ALL of my parts here at Musician's Friend and if you don't want to ask questions that you might think are dumb.....lol, just go to YouTube. This guitar is similar to a Fender Stratocaster (when you do a search on YouTube, FYI). This is a great starter guitar, but you could possibly find this pack to be all you need. I've always wanted a Gibson Les Paul, and I will probably get one soon. So, after a year, I thought I would write this to help anyone that has any doubts.

I bought this set-up for my 7y.o. niece for xmas. Neck needed adjustment. Took to my Guitar Repairman and for small fee got it playing. I offered her Lessons as part of the deal. Plays well enough for me to work with her. Strings are weak and will need alot of tuning. Got her a clip-on tuner(recommeded). I think this Tiny set-up will make her jump with Joy!

Great buy, good quality guitar, however the amp those not have many controls, lots of feedback when loud or listening with headphones. And the cable wore out the first week.

This is an excellent guitar for those who want to learn to play. It comes ready to play, except tuning, right out of the box. The gig bag isn't much, but this is an awesome deal for the money.

Comments about Rogue Rocketeer Electric Guitar Pack:
I received this as a gift, so I can't really gripe about anything. Free is free. You will have to do some maintenance on it at first.
I wanted to use the factory strings for a bit because they were rough feeling, to build back up my calluses, started tuning and the A string snapped.
Also, the input jack was very loose. I unplugged and the bolt and washer came off. No biggie, I just unscrewed the plate and screwed things back together.
The amp is OK for playing in your room and nice that it has a headphone jack. I can tell I will need to replace the cord soon though.
In other reviews people mentioned a tuner, well I didn't get one with this pack. I went and got a few sets of Ernie ball strings, ordered a tuner that is taking longer to get here than the guitar did, bought a jack for my iPhone and things sound good.
Final verdict? Good, reasonable guitar pack for a beginner player. It looks better in black, which is what I got.
