OVERVIEW

A guitar pack with the essentials to get a young rocker started.

The Rogue Rocketeer electric guitar package includes the RR100 double cutaway guitar, gig bag, strap, guitar cable, picks, and a Rogue G10 solid-state guitar amp.

Rogue Rocketeer RR100
The Rocketeer RR100 is Rogue's take on a classic design, built for ease of playability. It is constructed with a lightweight contoured double-cutaway paulownia body. The ultra-thin, comfortable bot-on maple neck makes it easy to fly up and down the 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with ease. The humbucker/dual single-coil pickup configuration with a 5-way switch allows for a wide-variety of tones. A 6-screw vintage tremolo lets you have tons of whammy bar fun, while die-cast tuners ensure solid tuning stability. A gig bag is included.

Rogue G10 Solid State Amplifier
The Rogue G10 Solid State Amplifier makes a great practice amp, and features a single input with Volume, Gain, Treble and Bass controls. Boost your sound with the Power boost select button, and practice using the included headphone jack.

Check the drop-down menu to the right to select colors and/or other options.

I had this for a year now and I love it. The amp has a jack you can plug headphones into, so I bought JVC HA-RX300 stereo headphones here at Musician's Friend, too (to keep from bothering the neighbors......lol!). The headphones come with a small jack for your computer and a large jack adapter for your amp. I also bought a FAB chorus pedal for a cool sound. Out of the box, I found the tremolo bridge to be too high. You can go to YouTube for videos on how to tweak your guitar the way you want it. So personally, I prefer not to use the tremolo. I set the tremolo bridge lower (to get the strings closer to the fretboard) by tightening the two spring screws all the way up (in the back, inside the cover). I also use and prefer a regular light gauge string set. So, I got the tremolo bridge to set flush on the body, sanded off the lacquer on the back of the neck (so you can move your hand faster on the fretboard) and re-strung it with D'Addario nickel wound XL strings. The pick-ups are NICE, too! After spending several hours playing it and a year later, I thought I'd give it a big thumbs up. Next, I'm going to get a rock distortion (or a metal distortion) and a delay pedal to go with my chorus pedal. I buy ALL of my parts here at Musician's Friend and if you don't want to ask questions that you might think are dumb.....lol, just go to YouTube. This guitar is similar to a Fender Stratocaster (when you do a search on YouTube, FYI). This is a great starter guitar, but you could possibly find this pack to be all you need. I've always wanted a Gibson Les Paul, and I will probably get one soon. So, after a year, I thought I would write this to help anyone that has any doubts.

Bought an electric guitar amp and a bass amp both made by Rogue and was so impressed by both of them. They both outdid larger wattage namebrand amps in power, sound and deffinately cost. I have a grandson that is in awe of all the instruments that grandpa plays so i thought I'd get him an axe for christmas. Changed the strings, ( boy those that came with it will cut a little fellers fingers to shreds ) and I really had to tune the bridge up drastically. The way it came made it hard for a beginner to learn easily and not have to press so hard but I think you find that in alot of cheaper guitars. Again, the little 10 watt amp that came with it was outstanding as far as power. Plugged it in and showed the combo to the wifes daughter and she couldn't get over how loud it was and that's without the overdrive turned on. Boy I wish M F still sold Rogue electric and bass amps again. All in all, change strings, and if you have any talent in tuning a bridge by adjusting the springs and setting the height then this could be a good starter for someone. Without skills then it'll need taken to a shop and bridge tuned for a fairly healthy fee. Don't know that this calibur of guitar warrantes the cost but in my case I got it way early for christmas cause M F had it on sale really cheap for Labor Day sale they had going on so Yeah I set it aside for little fellers christmas.

Excellent for the price. I haven't adjusted the neck yet. I may never adjust the neck for it plays great for the price and I may mess it up. Works for me. One of the best I have had for the price!

I picked this up for my daughter who recently started taking guitar lessons. Overall she finds it easier to play then the Squire she was learning with. Finish is excellent and the price was unbeatable. It's a lot of guitar for the money.

Good price for a beginner setup. FIRST shipment this month had only the guitar and bag. SECOND, replacement shipment had guitar, bag, cord, amp. That's it. Didn't go through any more with MF. I'll just remember this in the future (no previous problems with MF.)

Comments about Rogue Rocketeer Electric Guitar Pack:

For the price this was perfect for me to try out an electric. I love to tone on my acoustic but wanted to try my hand with an electric and not drop a ton of money.
I haven't had it long enough to tell if it will hold tuning or not but it is certainly fun to play.
There is a little fret buzz but for what I want it's fine. I haven't had any problem my fingers as some have mentioned.

Comments about Rogue Rocketeer Electric Guitar Pack:

I ordered 2 "packs" for Christmas presents for friends who have expressed interest in learning to play a guitar...both said electric would suit them. I chose Rogue because I have used them twice before with good results. Truthfully, I will not know how either sounds until the recepients open their gifts on Christmas morning...I do know that both boxes for each "pack" were literally destroyed in shipping. Both had holes in their tops, one of which lost the guitar strap and the package of picks...the boxes these packages were in are atrocous...they were flimsy and not safe to even store the Rocketeers in...missing components from the boxes, one was inside its plastic guitar case, the other was not. All this is not to give a bad review of the guitars...I'm not sure how they'll sound, although I have a clue it isn't going to be pretty due to the mishandling and sloppy shipping methods...I'm willing to bet I will invest several hours on each one just to get them in shape to learn on. This was not in the plan.
