Comments about Rogue Rocketeer RR50 7/8 Scale Electric Guitar:
I bought this for my girlfriend a year ago for Christmas. She is very petite, so she needs a small-scale instrument. This guitar is great for her small hands and short reach. The neck feels good, much like a Fender C-shape neck. The action is good out of the box and low, but not too low. There is little, if any fret buzz. It is a good looking instrument, if a bit plain.
Now to the bad news - the sound is mediocre, but that's okay, because it is meant to be a cheap beginner's instrument or one for travel. I'm sure that the main cause of the cruddy sound is the pickup, but there is no reason to replace it, as that would cost as much as the guitar originally cost. It sounds good enough to learn on. The main issue that bugs me is that the frets are badly placed, so there are some bad intonation problems, which made chords sound freaky and out of tune, even if the guitar is in tune. In addition, the tuning machines are junk and do not hold the instrument in tune for long. Once again, what do you expect for the price?
The strings that it comes with are junk and must be replaced immediately. I put some ultra-light 9 gauge Rotosound strings on it for her and it is super fast and feels like butter. It plays effortlessly, as I am used to heavy strings and a high action.
It is still a good small-scale beginner's guitar and I would recommend it for that purpose.

Comments about Rogue Rocketeer RR50 7/8 Scale Electric Guitar:
The Rockeeter is a great value for the money, plays well, and perfect for playing at home for fun! It could also serve as a gig guitar.
Comments about Rogue Rocketeer RR50 7/8 Scale Electric Guitar:
Whether as a first guitar or for use onstage, this is a great addition to your arsenal!
The Rocketeer offers a scale slightly shorter than a Gibson (longer than a Byrdland) which allows more extreme string bending. The singe bridge pickup has great tone, especially when distorted, and the lack of a tone pot keeps the signal hotter and puts tone controls where they belong: on the amp. This would be perfect for an entire set or as a second guitar for specific songs. It gives you the optons of a Lest Paul Junior at an insanely low price. The guitar is worth more in parts alone! The tuners are good and stable and quality overall is first class. You can't go wrong buying one!
FIT AND FINISH ARE FIRST RATE!
A professional grade guita at the price of a clunker!
Comments about Rogue Rocketeer RR50 7/8 Scale Electric Guitar:
The lack of a tone control isn't a deal breaker, but having one would be nice.
Very basic guitar, one humbucking pickup, one volume, no tone controls.
String through body. Decent tuners and bridge-saddle. Nice finish on the body and neck.
Neck should have been a bit narrower, imho. Humbucker has very nice tone.
I don't think you'll find a better instrument at this price. It comes with a gig bag, set of picks, neck strap and 1/4" cable.
Comments about Rogue Rocketeer RR50 7/8 Scale Electric Guitar:
My dad got this for me for christmas, now i play guitar (for 11 years) and i wanted a small guitar to have beside my desk, so when i just want to play a little bit and don't feel like digging out my tele or strat, i'll grab this. Not crazy about humbuckers, but hey it don't sound bad at all, real powerfull sound. The pickup is about 11K ohms (in other words high output). Out of the box, neck was straight, no adjustment needed, i put heavier gauge strings on it to fit my style, i'm used to flatwounds and when this came with small 9-42's on it, i was bending them just making chords, so i put a set of 10-46 on it. Also, the guitar stays in tune great, it will drift at first, which is because the strings aren't broke in yet. Mine is in red, and there is only one small flaw in the paint, above the pickup, there is like a sag in it, no bid deal to me at all. And its really light as well. And i really like the feel of the neck, feels like a strat neck, maybe a little thicker but not much. Great little guitar! I'd really reccomend this for someone wanted a small guitar to sit around and play AND kids learning to play, this would be a great first electric guitar for a younger kid just starting out. Can't beat it for the price, best deal on the market!
Not many features with a single pickup guitar, but whats there is really good!
Great quality, ready to play out of the box (after tuning) 9 because of the small sag, which is really no bid deal to me at all.
Best buy avaible for a 7/8 guitar, like i said its perfect for a kid starting out or someone whos' been playing but wants a small guitar to sit around and play.
Comments about Rogue Rocketeer RR50 7/8 Scale Electric Guitar:
Neck could be a little slimmer. But, overall, a great starter guitar for a child.
I'm a luthier, and often asked by parents to help them find a guitar for a small child. "But I don't want to spend much," they always say, because they are afraid that their child won't stick with it. I explain that they have to spend a minimum amount of money to get something that plays well and sounds OK -- otherwise, they guarantee that their child won't stick with it and they're throwing their money away. For a larger child, I recomment the Fender Squier Bullet -- but now I've found this for smaller children. Out of the box, though, it needed a little work. So if you're a parent, you may need a little help setting the guitar up. It was not intonated, the bridge needed adjustment (to match the curve of the neck) and there was not enough tension on the truss rod. After that, though, it's a real, playable instrument. At the price, the kid has a chance. If he or she loses interest, you can probably sell it to another parent and get your money back. Not so with the discount store junk out there.
Good frets. Humbucker pickup sounds pretty good, too.
Comments about Rogue Rocketeer RR50 7/8 Scale Electric Guitar:
I give it a four reason being seems the tuners could be better but what do expect for the price plan to do some mods.
Can't really say much about features kinda plain one humbucker and 1 volume
Got the guitar today as far quality think made pretty good not expert but what seen so far it's made well one draw back are the tuners little cheap but time will tell..
Can't beat it for the price.
