Is been at least 3 years that I have this guitar, I saw it online, liked the way it looked and liked the price so I ordered just to have a guitar to mess with and play Dr Frankenstein, loved it when I got it, it does stay in tune (if you know how to string and tune your guitar)the action is really nice, is not heavy and it looks really nice as well. I did change the pick ups as I had in mind initally, put some di marzio's evos in it and it screams... Downsides? Well I abuse my guitars (in a good way, since I do change a lot of pick up as I play and I lower and raise the volume with the vol knob)but after I'm done with the performance I do pamper them and take care of them, anyways, I mess up the pick up switch but one simple call to schecter and they send me a free replacement and a free "schecter" sticker (how cool is that?), no hassles, no buts, no ifs...Other than that I didn't make any other changes to this guitar, it didn't need them as I was initally thinking it would, 3+ years after is still rocking, I got more guitars (Fender, Schecter,Ibanez, Alvarez, etc)and this one is one of my favorites. Man I love this guiitar and I'm considering getting a 2nd one as a back up.

This was my first electric guitar and a great starter guitar. The basswood body is a rarity to find at such a low price (the main reason I wanted it). The neck is a good plus too. It isn't too bulky and it isn't too narrow either. The fretboard is rosewood, so it adds also to the warm tone of the body. Also, even for a basswood guitar, it is really durable. With all the stage tricks it has performed, this guitar has slammed into speakers, amps, even one time hit the ground from 6 or 7 feet in the air when my strap ripped during a windmill. The downsides:The electronics and pick ups on it are complete crap. The tapers and the toggle, after about a month of playing, completely screwed up. The basswood body helps out a good bit with the tone of the guitar, but you want to have good pick ups to go with it. I just put DiMarzio breeds and I am very happy with its tone now.The other downside is the body shape. If you are a guitar player who likes to play more than just metal, this is not exactly the image you should go for. It is not a very welcomed guitar, especially on a jazz and blues stage.Great starter guitar, and with new pick ups and such, a great back up guitar

First off, it's a good little 300$ guitar, but I think some of the reviewers here have been tricked into believing there cheap schecter can stand up to much higher quality guitars. I own this, and a Custom Carvin CT, and there not even close to being on the same league. With that said, it is a very good guitar for a begginer and as a backup, but don't fool yourselves into thinking you got the best guitar out there and only spent 300$. Neck feels good, pickups are hot and decent, otherwise pretty standard.
I have been playing with this guitar for about 5 months now and it is playing like the first day i got it!! I purchased me a Schecter Acoustic guitar and i play that thing all the time, it is awesome. I was so impressed by my acoustic that i went and bought me this electric. This sucker puts out some heavy distortion, too, it rocks, i love this guitar!!
This guitar is gods gift to guitarists. It is one of the best ive ever played. You would have to pay 2 or three times as much for a guitar this good. Thank you Schecter for making such a good guitar. Oh and if you buy this guitar welcome to the wonderful world of Schecter my friend.
I bought this guitar about a month ago, and just haven't got around to writing a review yet. This guitar is awesome. The unique looks are amazing and it plays like it's worth a couple hundred more bucks. It's a great guitar for a musician who's not just beginning, but not amazing as well. It's for the "in-betweeners." If I'm looking for an electric guitar, I won't buy anything else but Schecter.
The top strap peg came out of the body!! Outrageous!!
solid guitar. pickups need work, replace them and you have a great guitar. love the finish
So that no one is confused from the review below mine. Both guitars are SATIN which means theres no gloss, which means theres no finger prints. all around this is an AWESOME guitar. I think its worth about 500$ I gave the Features a 4.5 because there is only one volume knob, but everything elese is AMAZING. please click buy now.
This guitar is definitely worth the money. this brings out a sweet sound, and it plays unbelievable. I am going to buy Schecters now. I could not beleive the sound that came out from a guitar at this price.
I've been playing guitar for about 4 years now, I've owned about 6 or 7 guitars, and this is by far the best i've owned. I played one a while back, and i didn't like it. And about a year later i went to a music store looking for a new guitar and i was looking at an sg,and a PRS. A cheaper one. N i saw this and wasn't even gonna play it, But I had a lil time to kill so i played it. And I was amazed. So i bought it that day. It has great sustain, and a solid feels. The pickups are very good, it sounds great clean, and distorted! After I bought mine, my other guitar player in my band went to the same place and bought one just like it. They have yet to fail us. I've dropped and banged mine around, but it's not even close to letting me down. Buy this now!!!
A friend of mine has this guitar and as far as looks go, it looks pretty good. However, the sound is very..how do i say this...weak, In comparison to the guitars i have heard and played before. The neck isnt the best ive felt either, its actually extremely rough and kind of painful to play. Im not a fan of the bridge either due to the fact that the high E string actually sits against the back of the saddle as well as in the slot which makes it bend because of how close the string holes are in the body. I think a newbie wouldnt mind these flaws because they probably wouldnt notice, but anybody serious about playing guitar should probably keep their distance.
This guitar is really a great deal! The guitar itself feels extremely solid. The machine heads are smooth and are rock-solid when it comes to staying in tune! The neck is a little awkward at times, but still very playable. The pick-ups are stay clear and hardly ever get a muddy tone even at high gain levels! Even though this model doesn't have the hardware of the more expensive Schecters, it does its job very well!
This guitar is great for anyone that likes to play many different types of music ranging from heavy metal to soft rock. It plays and feels great, and for the price you'd have a hard time finding a guitar to compare to this. If your on a budget, but dream of an amazing guitar this is your sure buy!!!!
I love this guitar. BEAUTIFUL. QUALITY. TONE. Great guitar for any beginner/intermediate player.
i just purchased this guitar and i must say this thing is wonderful. I have been playing for about 3 years now and needed to step it up another with a guitar. I didn't want to spend that much money for a nice guitar (which i thought i was going to have to do) but when the guy at guitar store showed me this line of guitars i was amazed. Such a nice look, sound , and great features. It is an awesome guitar for the price and does very accordingly for my needs. I play with a praise and worship band and it is somewhat like an alternative. This has nice pick ups (compared to fender strats and teles). good for price and can't go wrong.
I've had my 006 for about 9 months and it is awesome. i havent had any problems with it. It is a beautiful guitar with a beautiful because of great pick-up. I have been VERY happy with it and it is money well spent.
Man This guitar is awesome, is the fourth on my rig.I have Custom Shop Guitars, Parker, Wasburn etc, But this little schecter for the price is awesome, I really recommend it, the sound is very good, the craftmanship is impecable, and if you thow later a couple of seymour duncan pickups, lets say a jazz model on the neck and a custom on the bridge this baby would rock!!!!
i bought the 006 to be my back-up and have now used it as my main axe for over a year. The pickups sound kinda of muddy, so i put in some emgs and the guitar perked right up. Whenever i play live i can hardly tell it's there because of the light weight and the way it molds to my body. i guarantee the next guitar i buy wll be a schecter.
I played this through a Marshall MG250 DFX and the pickups howled! They made the perfect amount of feedback and it had crunching tone!
For the price of the guitar, it is an amazing bargain. It has a very warm, mellow sound and sounds great through distortion. It is an awesome guitar.
This was one of my first electric guitars and now that I've been playing for a few years, I see now the disappointment in it.I have had nothing but problems with my frets and switchboard. After repeated repairs, it still crackled and sometimes even refused to work.Nice looking guitar though.I've got quite a few compliments on it.If you're looking for something to start on and look great with, this is definitely the guitar!!But if you're looking for quality? Not here.
