Flash, fire, and twang for a little ultraviolence.
This signature guitar for Pete Dee, guitarist for English punk band The Adicts, matches the bands black and white stage attire. The mahogany body with mirror pickguard and 22-fret bolt-on maple neck is fired up by Schecter SuperRock Custom Alnico/Duncan Designed FG-101 pickups. The Bigsby B-50 vibrato provides plenty of whammy-bar mayhem.
The most commonly used fretboard wood, rosewood is naturally oily, and works well for any surface that sees frequent human contact. The sound is richer in fundamental than maple because the stray overtones are absorbed into the oily pores.
Schecter SuperRock Custom Alnico/Duncan Designed FG-101 pickups
Bridge: Alnico-V magnet and Vintage voiced with a 3x3 staggered pole pieces. Classic Single coil tone when Push-Pull knob is pulled up. Neck: Captures the big, brash sound of the great rockabilly hollow-body guitars with a touch of "snarl" thrown in.
Roller TOM wtih Bigsby B-50
Bigsby B-50 TRUE VIBRATO bridge allows musicians to bend the pitch of notes or entire chords with their pick hand for various effects. The pitch can be shifted up and down. Matched with a Tune-O-Matic bridge with Roller saddles keeps the tuning in pitch even in the most extreme vibrato bends.
Schecter locking tuners
Schecter locking tuners feature a locking screw pin to lock the string into place for greater tuning stability. Details include a 19:1 gear ratio allowing for precise fine tuning adjustments, removable knobs, threaded peghead bushing, and a 10mm diameter peghole.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research 2011 Pete Dee 2011 Electric Guitar:
Great guitar! AND I want to shout out about Customer Support. When you buy this thing DO NOT get the recommended Schecter case - it doesn't fit! (And that's Schecter's issue, not Musician's Friend's) You want a Gator Jaguar-style case, Item Number H72554000002000 which is actually cheaper, but better made and also better-looking. The folks at Musician's Friend were VERY helpful and stayed on the phone with me until we were SURE that this 2nd case fitted the guitar. And they did an EXCELLENT job in finding this 2nd case! The case arrived in two days (Earlier today) and guess what? It FITS! They were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
Coil taps do not create a serious loss of volume. Everything's easy to reach while playing and the looks are outstanding! Pictures do not do this thing justice. I wanted a tele type guitar and I got a tele on crack! Push pull knobs work smoothly and easily and the Bigsby tremolo works as advertised - smooth and it doesn't take the guitar out of tune. Now this is a tremolo bar, not a "dive-bomber" If you're going to dive bomb, you have to be sure and rotate the lever down far enough it doesn't bottom out on the body. But for as good as it works - I can live with that and it WILL dive bomb under distortion. Very nice and jangly on clean and numerous tone possibilities the way these p/ups are set up.
Never had a Schecter before - wow dudes & dudettes - these guys make GOOD guitars! It arrived - I tuned it up. Intonation was PERFECT on all strings right out of the box. Once the strings were stretched properly, it stays right in tune. Whoever "Inspector 11" is - she/he did an excellent job setting this thing up for playing .I have NEVER had a guitar come out of a box with perfect intonation before on all 6 strings like this. No string buzzes, action is low and speedy. Appearance - absolutely beautiful guitar! The custom inlays are even better than they appear in the pics. Finish was great - one very minor place on the mirrored pickguard, but not enough to "whine" about. I'll be playing this so much, that pick-guard will look like Joe Strummer's in a couple of months anyway. You want a Gator Jaguar-style case with it, Item Number H72554000002000, it's $10 less and better looking than Schecter's. (Which doesn't fit) Trust me on this - I got to find out how great Musician's Friend's Customer Service is on this one. (They are great)
Friends and I did 2 months of research into at least 50 guitars in the 600 to 1000 price range. This was the winner for sheer features, looks and playability. I mean, how often can you score a legitimate signature guitar for under a grand? FYI - the other finalist was an Eastwood Airline 2P Deluxe, but couldn't find one in stock anywhere and there was NOWHERE around to try one out. But I am not disappointed in the least in THIS one. Bought originally as a backup, I'm making this my primary guitar. I love this thing! Can't stop playing it and don't want help with my new addiction either!
