An alder body with bolt-on construction and Seymour Duncan pickups.
The Schecter Guitar Research Banshee-6 Passive Electric Guitar is fully-equipped. It comes with an alder body and bolt-on multi-laminate neck. The fretboard is smooth ebony with 24 extra-jumbo frets and a compound radius for maximum comfort. Popular Seymour Duncan pickups produce plenty of tone control and power. Black chrome hardware completes the list of appointments.
The original Rotomatic with an improved higher ratio gearing. The 18:1 ratio provides for finer tuning and greater stability. The finer gears provide smoother tuning and a higher degree of backlash elimination
Ebony has a snappy, crisp attack with the density of Maple, but with more brittle grains, oilier pores, and a stronger fundamental tone than Maple. It has a tremendous amount of percussive overtones in the pick attack, that mute out shortly thereafter to foster great, long, sustain
Seymour Duncan JB SH-4/'59 SH-1N
Bridge: The world's most popular humbucker. Provides slammin' output while retaining singing highs, aggressive harmonics, and just the right blend of sustain and distortion. Goes from sweet warm tones to raw rock 'n' roll. Neck: Versatile P.A.F.-type humbucker. Late-'50s, vintage-correct, humbucker sound. Warm and crystalline clean tones. Full and bright distorted tones. Smooth sustain. Classic appointments include plain enamel wire, long legged bottom plate.
Multi-laminate maple & walnut neck
Made from 3 pieces of maple and 2 center strips of walnut. This well balanced combination of select wood takes the bright tones of maple and adds a dark tone from the walnut strips. Often used for Thru neck construction giving the acoustic tone of the instrument a perfect string vibration transfer to the body.
Compound radius fretboard (12"-16")
Everyone knows how comfortable vintage guitar necks are for rhythm, but without uncomfortably high action, string bending "frets-out" on the higher frets. With a Compound radius fretboard you get the comfort of a 12" radius at the lower frets for Chording and easy access of Soloing at the higher frets with the 16" radius, not to mention perfect playability at the lowest string height possible.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Banshee-6 Passive Electric Guitar:
This is clearly the guitar I've been looking for, for nearly 5 years now.
This thing is a metal BEAST! Ebony fretboard, quilted maple top, alder body, solid 5 piece neck, locking tuners, Hipshot bridge.... The build quality is TOP notch....
But the thing that REALLY makes this banshee shine are the pickups..
Bravo to Seymour Duncan! I have been an EMG (81/60) fan until I listened to these passive pickups...goodness does the Nazgul sound down right FILTHY!!! And the Sentient cleans up very well and is a perfect complement to its counterpart...
Bottom line is if you like to play any genre of metal, you should definitely get your hands on this guitar...it will blow you away.
