OVERVIEW

Made for metal.

The Schecter Blackjack ATX Solo 6 Electric Guitar gives you all the dark tones and sustain you expect from a mahogany body and 25-1/2" scale 3-piece mahogany neck. The Schecter Ultra-access neck joint gives you access to the fast 24-fret ebony fingerboard. The ATX Solo-6 is loaded with Seymour Duncan Active Blackout humbuckers with balanced inputs and a differential preamp for reduced noise. They're voiced for heavy rock with greater dynamic range, less scooped mids, and less compression than other active pickups. Other attributes of this limited edition Schecter Blackjack guitar include an active symbol fingerboard inlay at the 12th fret, aged multi-ply binding, black chrome hardware, locking tuners, and a TonePros bridge system with a string-thru design. Case sold separately.

Schecter locking tuners
Schecter Locking Tuners feature a locking screw pin to lock the string into place for greater tuning stability. Details include a 19:1 gear ratio allowing for precise fine tuning adjustments, removable knobs, threaded peghead bushing, and a 10mm diameter peg hole.

Ebony fretboard
Ebony has a snappy, crisp attack with the density of Maple, but with more brittle grains, oilier pores, and a stronger fundamental tone than Maple. It has a tremendous amount of percussive overtones in the pick attack, that mute out shortly thereafter to foster great, long, sustain

Seymour Duncan Active Blackouts AHB-1 pickups
9-volt active humbucker for aggressive playing styles. Recommended for old school metal, garage, punk, thrash, drop tunings, and other heavy rock styles. Capturing the tone that players want in an active design using balanced inputs. The result is 12dB to 14dB less noise, plus more lows, more highs, and more output.

3-pc Mahogany neck
Made with 3 pieces of mahogany for extra stability. 3 piece necks can withstand the test of time. Where standard necks may show aging defects from temperature and moisture changes throughout the years, the 3 piece neck will stay nice and straight for a lifetime of playability.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Blackjack ATX Solo 6 Electric Guitar:

I was very impressed with this guitar. The first thing I did was was adjust the neck and intonation. and it worked very well. I tired a pair of emgs 81's in in, as I never had a pair of these Blackout pickups before. I Did a back to back test and I've got to say myself and my other band members could hear the difference. The Seymours have more organic tone.( they make the guitar sound similar to a Carvin Holdsworth I have..) I am sticking with the blackouts I wish the clean sound was a little more toney, but the lead sound is very full and voicey. Overall the quality is very high.. I was impressed ( the neck has a thickness like a les paul) it has a different tone..and very different then a BC rich Pro x i have.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Blackjack ATX Solo 6 Electric Guitar:

I have had this guitar for a little over a month now and all i have to say is i absolutely love it. The setup was perfect. Sound is amazing, I like these seymour duncan pickups better than their EMG counterparts. For the price musicians friend is selling this for currently it is unbeatable.
