A reinforced, extended scale 8-string with Seymour Duncan Active pickups.
The Schecter Blackjack C-8 ATX Limited Electric Guitar is an 8-string that was made to give you the heavy metal low-end growl you need for today's rock sound. You'll get plenty of dark tones and sustain from the carved mahogany body and 3-piece mahogany neck. The extended 26-1/2" scale length lets you get the full tonal impact of the low C# and B notes of the 7th and 8th strings while dual graphite reinforcement rods maintain tuning and neck stability. The Ultra Access neck joint lets you comfortably reach all 24 jumbo frets on the Schecter Blackjack C-8.
The ATX C-8 Limited 8-string guitar comes loaded with Seymour Duncan 8-string Active Blackout humbuckers with balanced inputs and a differential preamp for reduced noise. They're voiced for heavy rock with greater dynamic range, less scooped mids, and less compression than other active pickups. Other features of the Schecter C-8 ATX include a Graph Tech Tusq nut, Hipshot-8 bridge, locking tuners, and black chrome hardware. Only 50 of each will be available in the USA.

After exclusively playing Fender Yngwie Strats for the last 12 years, I wanted a guitar that was more unique to my playing. I wanted 24 frets and an extended range. I set up my two Schecters with high A strings that I purchased from octave4plus; the low F# was useless to me! The guitars are tuned B-E-A-D-G-B-E-A. This is my first experience with active pickups, and the Seymour Duncans produce nice tones both clean and with distortion. These are my first Schecters, and I am impressed!
