OVERVIEW

An extended-scale baritone shred machine armed with Seymour Duncan pickups.

Schecter is breaking new musical ground with their Slim Line Series of electric guitars. Designed with an ultra-thin, lighting fast neck and a sleek contoured body, the Blackjack SLS C-1 EX is armed with Seymour Duncan Full Shred and '59 SH-1N humbucking pickups, a TonePros™ w/ string-thru body bridge, and Schecter locking tuners. The entire guitar is adorned with black chrome hardware.

3-Piece maple neck
Made with 3 pieces of maple for extra stability. 3-Piece necks can withstand the test of time. Where standard necks may show aging defects from temperature and moisture changes throughout the years, the 3-piece neck will stay nice and straight for a lifetime of playability.

Satin finish and Ultra-Thin profile
The SLS collection features a satin finish neck for lightning fast playing above and below the 12th fret, an ultra-thin neck profile (19mm at 1st fret/ 20mm at 12th fret), and a new Ultra Access neck joint shape for easier access to the last frets.

Ebony fretboard
Ebony has a snappy, crisp attack with the density of maple, but with more brittle grains, oilier pores, and a stronger fundamental tone than maple. It has a tremendous amount of percussive overtones in the pick attack, that mute out shortly thereafter to foster great, long sustain.

Seymour Duncan Full Shred and '59 SH-1N passive pickups
The Full Shred contains double rows of Allen screw pole pieces help fine tune the high end, leaving a tone that's fat and chunky, yet perfectly defined for speed riffs. Seymour Duncan's '59 SH-1N is a classic moderate output humbucker. It's not only great for jazz, but also country, blues, funk, classic rock and heavy rock.

Case sold separately.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Blackjack SLS C-1 EX-P Electric Guitar:

Very comfortable fretboard for such a guitar that has an extended-scale.

      Pickups' quality is awesome.

There is no consern about the sound but you may need to change the factory strings if you don't like heavy (thick) strings.

      Overall quality is unbelievable!

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Blackjack SLS C-1 EX-P Electric Guitar:

Purchased this used from someone who had no idea what they had. I got it set up and wow, it is a great playing and sounding guitar. I needed a guitar that could play many jenres, this guitar can, has a nice clean sound and with a good amp can add whatever effect you need. High quality, stays in tune.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Blackjack SLS C-1 EX-P Electric Guitar:

Great guitar. I got the one with the Hell's Gate Skull inlay first. Loved that guitar but not in love with the skull.
The tone knob feels like it has a little less tension than the volume knob (maybe that's normal) and also spins slightly crooked, but I can only tell when I turn the knob and see it rotating off-axis.
I like the tone. I had to lower the action and tighten the truss rod as well.
Love the finish, love the colour, love the tone, love the neck. It's a great guitar. I got it on sale for 450, probably wouldn't want to pay 800 for it. One reason I bought it was I didn't want the FR, which this guitar didn't have.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Blackjack SLS C-1 EX-P Electric Guitar:

Action came a little high. So with a decent setup it will be a great guitar. Not huge fan of the Duncan Full Shred pickup but for low tuning in this case it's surprisingly better than I expected. I am already a big fan of the Schecter SLS neck profile and already own 2 other SLS type guitars. Schecter's recent efforts are quality guitars. Nice sounding wood....electronics...great playing necks. I'm a fan.
