I've been playing an Ibanez RG750 for the last 14 years. I love that guitar! Great neck and sustain and durable as can be.BUT...My brother just bought me this Schecter C-1 FR guitar and I am impressed. The action is phenominal and the attention to detail is amazing. I kinda cringed a little when I saw that it was made in China but after plugging it in and shredding for a couple hours it doesn't matter anymore where it was made "cause it was made well.I love the hardware and pickups and the style they bring to the look of the guitar. This is a killer looking guitar!Another thing I like is it's weight. This thing feels like it can handle what I'm gonna give it. My Ibanez feels like balsa wood in comparison. That's not to say that it's heavy though. It's not. It just feels...Solid.Maybe I should play it for a few months before I go any further. I'm confident though that this will be one of the best guitars I've ever owned. I've never spent more than $1000 bucks on a guitar and probably never will, but at least now I FEEL like I have a $1000 guitar.Good job Schecter.
Got this on the stupid deal. Got it at home and pickups weren't cutting it through my mesa combo. Ordered up dimarzio super distortion (left the neck p/u in there, wan't too bad for cleans and jazzy lead stuff) and now this thing shreds. Never had a Floyd Rose "Special" before, but I have played through A LOT worse liscenced trems. For a mahogany body guitar with floating trem that isn't horrible, this was a great deal. Just get rid of that bridge p/u
