Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Damien Solo Elite Electric Guitar:

Ready to play right out of the box, this thing was about 98% in tune upon arrival. I've tuned this guitar once since I've opened it! The Grover tuners and TuneOmatic bridge sustain the tuning very well. This is my second electric and I love it. I've been playing a lot of acoustic lately and wanted to learn some heavier, faster modern rock songs.. The tone and ease of play of this guitar is everything I expected from Schecter, definitely not in such an affordable guitar. You won't find a nicer guitar than this for the money.

I worried about the EMG Pickups being to heavy to play classic rock songs like simple man but you can adjust the knobs down for a really great clean sound. This guitar is mean and I play a lot rock songs without distortion, great for lead and rhythm. The pickups on this thing cost about half of what the guitar is worth and plus its an amazing looking instrument in person, the pictures don't quite capture the true beauty of this thing.

    Highly recommended!!

This axe is amazing! The tone coming out of the EMG active pickups is ridiculous! This is my first Schecter product, but i definately see myself making another purchase, down the road!

Review of Damien Solo Elite Electric Guitar

      By Daniel Giglio

      from australia

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Damien Solo Elite Electric Guitar:

Overall, this guitar is a great guitar. Its my second would suggest this to people with a lower budget and if you ready to take a step up with your guitar playing and get a new guitar instead of your very first guitar eg. an old no name brand.
The features are fantastic wicked inlays love the paint job string through body great design and the EMGs are great but the best is the 18:1 ratio Grover tuners which are fantastic I use .68-.11 gauge strings tune it maybe 1-2 time per week and I thrash it. My old guitar I was tuning every minute and my brothers Gibson has to be tuned at least everyday.
Best quality for price for sure EMGs in Australia cost as much as I bought the guitar for! I didn't get any scratches or anything on the guitar was fantastic when it arrived.
I paid a great price for this guitar, was the best offer. I'll give the rating 20/10

      AMAZING DEAL!!!!

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Damien Solo Elite Electric Guitar:

I love this guitar, the clean tone is amazing! the active pickup are a steal on this guitar, its cheap and a great guitar! I own two of these and my other guitarist has the c style body one, the emgs help cut thru everything for my solos and just made heavy riffs heavier. If you are looking for a great guitar for a deal this is it, most people pay way more for less of a great sounding guitar

I bought this guitar from here and shipped it to australia. i got it and it was fantastic great sound great neck work and everything. with most guitars that come out of the factory you need to like fit it your playing and fix few things up but this was perfect. except the volume knob wasnt on right and the switch is broken.

      Awesome

      By Jeff Ling

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Damien Solo Elite Electric Guitar:

Really fantastic guitar for the price. The neck plays smooth and the action is great. If you like active pickups, 81s and 85 are a really good pair. They guitar is obviously good for metal, but you can play just about anything, I play a lot of blues and anything rock with it. Fell in love with it from the first time I tried it out.

      Good axe for the money

      By Chris-Gh4ji

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Damien Solo Elite Electric Guitar:

There arent many guitars in this price range that are equipt with top of the line pickups, tuners, and bridges, i'll definitely give the guitar a 5/5 for that. I love the unpainted neck just feels more natural, in the months i've had and been playing the guitar the neck is straight and it plays great, it does have some imperfections in the finish but nothing i cant live with considering what i paid for it. Also the jack input is slightly warped away from the guitar, i was able to fix that myself. It looks and plays well, which is more than i can say for many guitars out there that cost more, glad i went with this one.

      Unreal!

      By TheButcher

      from Bismarck, ND

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Damien Solo Elite Electric Guitar:

I am a professional with over 25 years of club experience. I have played every style of music and have owned hundreds of guitars. Currently I have a Strat and a Tele that get me through most every style I need, but I was looking for something a little more appropriate for Metal. The beautiful shape of this guitar instantly caught my eye and the metallic blue kept me looking. When I saw the $499.00 price tag, I wasn't expecting any more than "pretty". BOY was I wrong. Immediately the neck felt familiar and comfortable. It tuned up nicely and when I plugged it in...WOW. The clean was so present and snappy that I could have sworn I was playing a really good Tele, with a pronounced, but nice, midrange stab that made me grin like an idiot. when I hit the crunch channel, it went immediately to a sound that would be welcome on any Pantera or Dream Theater album and just got sweeter from there. The sustain is AMAZING. The pick squeals are easy and natural. Absolutely the best bargain guitar ever and on par with any PRS or high end "Metal" guitar I have ever played or owned. Kudos to South Korea and Schecter!

      Great axe, great price!!

      By DJB1982

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Damien Solo Elite Electric Guitar:

I went in to a local shop to check out one of the new Schecter Solo 6 Customs that came out for the 2010 year, and while it was a cool axe as well this one caught my eye as i tend to like unfinished necks. I ended up leaving the store with one, as everything about this guitar is killer! Great action, great setup, has cool inlays, and nice hardware! Stays in tune perfectly with the Grovers and Tonepros, and has real EMG's, which isn't always the case at this price point. Plus the combination of a Les Paul-esque body with a nice smooth bolt-on strat-scale neck is something i've always wanted. The one thing i thought may be lacking was sustain, but this guitar sustains just as long as my PRS! Maybe due to the EMG's, but either way it's a great guitar, and i think you'd be hard pressed to find a better one for the money. Schecter came out with some great offerings for the new year!
