Single-coil Seymour Duncan pickups on a vintage-style Schecter.
The Schecter Hellcat IV boasts a double cutaway alder body, a 30" scale bolt-on maple neck, and a 22-fret rosewood or maple fingerboard. The Schecter Hellcat IV guitar is loaded with three Seymour Duncan SJAG-1 single-coil pickups with on/off switches for an incredible range of tones. Appointments include mother of pearl block fingerboard inlays, Grover tuners and chrome hardware.
Maple has a uniform grain, it’s strong and stable, and it has less reaction from environmental changes than other hardwoods. Its tone is highly reflective, and focuses more energy onto the body wood. Maple transfers a bright tone to the body which complements the warmer tones of a alder body.
Rosewood or maple fretboard
Rosewood is naturally oily, and works well for any surface that sees frequent human contact. The sound is fundamentally richer than maple because the stray overtones are absorbed into the oily pores. Maple is very bright, dense and highly reflective. When used on a fretboard, maple encourages tremendous amounts of higher overtones and its tight, almost filtered away bass favors harmonics and variations in pick attack.
Seymour Duncan SJAG-1 pickups
Every detail in sound, construction and appearance is faithfully duplicated in this vintage pickup. Even the original hand grinding process is used on the magnetic pole pieces and the result is that classic '60s single-coil sound. Middle pickup is reverse wound, reverse polarity (RW/RP) to create a hum canceling effect when used together with the bridge or neck pickup.
Grover tuning machines
The original Rotomatic with an improved higher ratio gearing. The 18:1 ratio provides for finer tuning and greater stability. The finer gears provide smoother tuning and a higher degree of backlash elimination.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research HELLCAT VI Electric Guitar:
I got one of these just because my bass teacher had one. It's so cool to be able to get sounds that others players cannot do. Everybody who plays it, loves it. I even have request for it from guys as they need inspiration.
While its a finely made instrument, there is one thing I think I'd do differently. The neck is just like a guitar but the strings are thicker leaving just a touch less room. I was surprised as I played this on how much I was bothered by this. It doesn't seen to be a problem to anybody else that has played it so it must be a personal thing.
Hard to knock the value as the only other thing I know of that does what this does is a Fender IV which is tons more money.
