The C-1 Jolly Roger's arched mahogany body features multi-ply binding and joins a 25-1/2" scale set maple neck via Shechter's Ultra Access neck joint for great upper-fret access. The 24-fret ebony fretboard is adorned with a mother-of-pearl Jolly Roger inlay at the 12th fret.
Armed with EMG Active 81 and 85 humbuckers, the Jolly Roger has tone for the stage and studio. Other features include Grover tuners and a TonePros bridge.

Great guitar and worth twice the price. For $499 it's a steal. Heck, the Emg pickups alone are worth $200. I was skeptical at first when I ordered the guitar but was I surprised. Guitar is rock solid and has sustain for days! Unplugged the guitar has a well balanced tone which translates into a great guitar plugged in. I love this guitar. I have played for 16 years and owned many other brands of guitars and this one tops the cake..and at this price it's amazing. The only thing I found wrong was a little overspray with the finish here and there. It is made in Korea so quality control ain't as good as most USA made guitars. Guitar was setup correctly right out of the box and intonation dead on. Thanks musiciansfriend!
This guitar was a great buy. Plays right out of the box. The sound is excellent and it is pretty light. Sounds really good with a Mesa Boogie Nomad amp and also a Line 6 Spider. Good quality guitar.
The only reason I gave it a 9 for feature is that it doesn't come with a floyd. I had a black hellraiser and returned it b/c of quality issues but this baby's much better. For the discounted price, it can't be beat. Quality components all around. Plays like a schecter (awesome!) and what sets it off is the ebony fretboard. I have an omen and the JR is much lighter, big +. I love it and highly recommend it.
I bought this guitar a couple days ago and it is pretty nice. The EMGs sound very nice. They pick up highs very well. I gave it an 8 on features because it would be nice not have independent tone and volume knobs for each pick up, but it's still ok. It's a very good value, since the next cheapest guitar with the EMG 81/85's is $630 that i could find. The pirate inlay adds a nice touch. I definately suggest buying this if you want a really nice and affordable guitar for metal or hardcore or anything heavy like that.
