Bought this on Stupid deal of the day... too good to be true. The first one arrived with a large chip out of the body. The second one arrived with a large gap between the neck and the body where they join. I gave up thereafter and bought something else.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research SGR C-4 Electric Bass Guitar:

Alot of bass for the low price, played out with mine for the first time the other night. Held up well. Fast smooth neck, decent pickups and control of tone even when playing with a flat EQ. Rarely did i have to adjust on my bass head. Capable of many styles through the onboard pre-amp. Classic rock, country, folk, and r&B all in our sets and it handled them easily. Issues I have had are the tuner keys arent the best, and a volume control knob has already came off. Easy fix on the volume knobs but i suggest new tuners. also I love the fret board and satin finish on the neck, but the frets themselves are a bit higher than im used to so they feel kinda "sharp". Not sure if that is all c-4 or just mine. All in all pretty darn good deal!!

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research SGR C-4 Electric Bass Guitar:

I've been looking for another bass for several years trying different brands. Schecter was at the top of the brands I was considering because of all the Pros listed above. However I didn't want an active bass and every Schecter that I liked was active, so I delay purchasing anything. Then somehow I found the SGR series (it wasn't easy). It looked like just what I was looking for. I had wanted greater control over tone and the SGR has dual pickups with dual volume & tone controls. I wanted a white body and rosewood fret board so it looked like a SGR bass was the one. But there was a problem, I wanted to try one out before I bought one. No one locally had any in stock nor would they be getting any. It would have to be bought "sight unseen". I waited several months before I ordered it hoping I wouldn't regret it. I couldn't be more pleased. The quality of materials is there, it stays in tune, it feels great, plays great, sounds great and looks great. Every time I play it I like it more. And now they've added more colors and a 5 string model. Another SGR may be in my future. Highly recommended.

P.S. I've been playing for 25 years and been with several bands.

Been playing Rocksmith with this bass on the PC and it has worked great so far. It stays in tune while playing the game. It has a good feel to it and is a great value for so little money.

I haven't found anything to complain about yet. It has sexy lines, plays well and with the dual pick ups, a lot of depth. A great guitar for the beginning bass player.
I bought the Bass on a whim. I'm glad I did! It plays very well, easy to chord and and has a good tone. The dual pick ups are a very nice feature. It gives you good depth for all kinds of music styles. The neck is smooth and easy to play.
It's built very well. Nice paint and has a sexy outline.
For the money, this is a GREAT bass. I own a Fender Jazz bass and find this one is easier to play and I think looks better.
