Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Solo Vintage Electric Guitar:

I ordered this guitar becasue the Pete Dee Tele style Schecter I really wanted and ordered in OCT 2013 became back ordered until February 2014.
The only problem I had with this guitar was the plastic logo emblem that was glued on to the headstock.Considering the price of this item the emblem made it look like a cheap department store instrument. The online photos do not give this detail. I have seen a number Schecter guitars in this price range and none of them had this cheap looking effect. I own 7 electrics under the 1K price range and none of them look this tacky.

get this guitar, this won't last long

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Solo Vintage Electric Guitar:

This guitar is very playable and was well setup. The neck heel contour allows complete access to the upper frets. The guitar has lush tone and loads of sustain. The neck pickup is fine but the bridge pickup is uncommonly good. Both are very quiet. The guitar holds tune well with the roller bridge and the Bigsby is a joy. The guitar is good looking and well built. Finally, at the current close-out price this guitar is a steal. Before long they will all be gone. The case you need is a Schecter SGR-9SC.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Solo Vintage Electric Guitar:

This guitar had me at "hello" I love the rock and roll look to it. The whammy bar is cool, although I'm not sure where to use it yet. I am a true beginner and I have had a blast just plugging it in and playing (or should I say, practicing) The thing is, I get lost in just trying different sound with it. It's got the humbucker pickups which I know nothing about except they are fun! It gives you so many different sounds. Now for the best part, I ordered this and was so excited to get it that I took pictures of the box when I got it. When I unveiled this beauty, I was not disappointed. She is beautiful! Really nice finish, not a scratch and just perfect. This guitar is all that it says it is. And it feels like it should cost twice as much as it does. Best money I have ever spent.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Solo Vintage Electric Guitar:

I have been playing 25 years and saw this one on sale. I had to get it because 1.)its a schecter 2.) the features 3.) the pickups. It arrived from Musicians Friend in perfect condition and my mouth dropped open. I believe it is better than any les paul I've played. Light and beautifully crafted and designed. Made in South Korea, and I use this axe only in front of crowds or recording. Truly awesome.

              Best Guitar Ever!!!

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Solo Vintage Electric Guitar:

I walked into a music shop, played this guitar, and fell in love with it. I chose it over a $1,299 new Taylor electric guitar! It's an amazing guitar! The back of the neck is a little glossy, but other than that, it's amazing!!!

              Where did this come from?!?!?

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Solo Vintage Electric Guitar:

Until about an hour ago, I would have walked past almost any Schecter guitar in a shop- I've always considered that heavy/thick tone more suitable for hard rock and/or heavy metal. UNTIL NOW! The Solo Vintage w/Bigsby is unbelievable. I play classic rock, surf, rockabilly, etc....and this plays like a dream. It feels quite sturdy (probably due to the set neck), and the details are beautiful. I own Fenders, DeArmonds, and at one time, a Rickenbacker...and the memories are already fading thanks to this surprise. Back to the tone- it's just rock 'n roll all the way...I hope that Schecter continues in this direction, because they are on to something good.
