Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Stargazer Electric Guitar:

For the money this is a very nice general purpose axe that plays nice. Solid ash body w/ nice balance; no neck dive. Korean build w/ set 3 Pc maple neck. The woods make it a mid-rangey to bright guitar...prob not the best for metal but thats not what I play anyway. It sounds like a Tele without the harshness Teles can tend to have. Frets and bindings dressed perfectly and poly finish was flawless. Gotoh Tuners are great. Stays in tune for 3 hour sessions of heavy strumming and bending. Tusq nut=lots of sustain. I can pick this thing unplugged in the living room and my wife can hear it UNPLUGGED upstairs in the bedroom 50 feet away!
It does have a typical Schecter 14" radius so chords can take some getting used to if youre coming from a Gibson-esque 12" rad but really no big deal. Stock pickups deliver a old-school PAF sound in bucking mode, with a more Tele-like sound split (especially the rear/bridge). In all, given the overall build quality a steal for what its going for. I may buy one more in case something happens to mine. 10 years from now this will be a collectible axe, guaranteed.

Schecter aimed for the stars and made it.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Stargazer Electric Guitar:

I have no idea why this guitar isn't more popular. I bought the black version and it's easily the most beautiful guitar I've ever seen, the online images don't nearly do it justice. Every detail about the outside of this instrument is breathtaking, I really can't say anything bad about it. On the inside, the custom Duncan humbuckers give a great tone, made all the more amazing considering that these are the stock electronics. Adding coil tap to the pickups sweetens the deal, giving an amazing versatility to the tones you can get out of this guitar. I haven't owned it very long, but I guarantee I'll hold on to it for as long as I can. I do have a few negatives though; when the coil tap is in single-coil mode, the pickups are drastically quieter. I know volume loss happens when pickups are split like that, but I haven't ever heard the volume drop so much. Also, the black on the tailpiece looks like a decal with air bubbles underneath it to emboss the curves on the 'S', and it feels like it could chip away pretty easily. All that aside, this guitar is easily worth the money, I haven't been so impressed with an instrument in a very long time.

Stargazer

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Stargazer Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar not long ago and absolutely loved it. To me, it looks like a Rickenbacker but sorta reminds me of a PRS as well. When I bought it, it played great but could've been better... so I switched out the 'pups for some a couple of Lace Alumtione Humbuckers. And I've never been discontent. The Schecter Stargazer is a once in a lifetime guitar and it works wonders when you get it right.

GET THIS GUITAR!

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Stargazer Electric Guitar:

I've been playing for 11 years and I own a Schecter Hellraiser C-1FR, Gibson Custom Shop ES-335, Gretsch 60th Anniversary, and a custom Jay Turser telecaster. So yes, I do know some good guitars! But the Schecter Stragazer is one of a kind! It has the body of the 006, with a vintage/retro style look to it. (Sorta like a Rickenbacker 360 or 330) Schecter has never been one to disappoint me... so I sort of trusted in this guiar when I picked it up to play it. It's so easy to move your fingers around and it fits ALL styles of music! Trust me when I say: GET THIS GUITAR!BTW, I'm trading in my Schecter Hellraiser C-1FR for the Schecter Stargazer in crimson ghost!
