    A modern/vintage semi-hollowbody that's built to rock.

The T S/H-1 is updated model, based on Schecter's Tempest shape, has a single cat's eye sound port with a semi-hollow maple body, modified to be slightly larger to take advantage of the semi-hollow body's acoustic properties. A 24-3/4" scale maple neck is topped with a rosewood fretboard with mother-of-pearl block inlays.

Design features unique to the T S/H-1 include a specially designed Vintage 'S' tailpiece, that creates higher string tension at the bridge to produce more sustain and balanced tone. The Schecter SuperRock MH humbuckers with ceramic magnets are overwound to provide increased output and treble bite while retaining classic vintage looks while a separate coil-splitting toggle switch gives you more tonal flexibility. Pro-quality appointments include chrome Grover tuners, TonePros locking bridge, and Graph Tech Tusq XL.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research T S/H-1 Electric Guitar:

Never ever thought I'd own a Schecter. I always saw them as reserved for metal players, and I play alt.country. Saw this strange love child of a Rickenbacker and a Gretsch at the local candy store and had to try her out. Fit and finish are awesome. The retro look combines with a sort of psychedelic twistedness that makes the guitar fit in with my shows. Reverse sunburst?!? Yep. Droopy wing on the cutaway?!? Sure nuff cool. But the best part is how nicely the neck plays and how those humbuckers growl and bite. Hit the tap and sound like Luther from Johnny Cash's band. Hit it again and you're playing screaming leads. Love this guitar.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research T S/H-1 Electric Guitar:

I build custom vintage style strats for customers so I know what to look for. This is a great all around guitar with a nice smooth feel and wide varity of sound tones. The guitar is very well built along with a great design for a semi hollow body guitar. Easy to play. And comes set up much better than epiphone & Ibanez guitars. You can tell time was put into the factory setup. Great value for the money!

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research T S/H-1 Electric Guitar:

I took a chance and picked this one up on [@]for a great price. I own a Schecter C1 Classic which has become my main live guitar, so I had confidence in the Schecter name. The mini-humbuckers have a great tone. I expected them to be brighter, but they are actually very warm. There is a nice growl when slightly overdriven, and they can scream at high gain (in a good way). The three-way toggle in conjunction with the coil tap switch provides a lot of versitility in tone. As with most coil taps, you do get a fair amount of volume drop-off when you split the coil, but I find it to be very useful in switching between lead and rhythm. The volume and tone pots are very responses, even more so than my C1 which tends to be bright until the tone is almost all the way rolled off.The guitar feels very solid, even though it is a semi-hollow body (or semi-semi-hollow since it is only chambered on the bass side). Stays in tune. Great neck. And the metalic finish in the reverse red burst look beautiful under the lights.I have 11's on mine which is heavier than most of my guitars, but they fit the vintage feel of the guitar very well.I'm very impressed. It's not a "must have" guitar like my Les Paul, Strat, Tele, or Jazz Box, but it fills a neat niche in my collection. Now I'm eyeing the Schechter Ultra iii...

          Great Sounds form This Guitar

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research T S/H-1 Electric Guitar:

I would definately buy another if this were lost or stolen.
I have several Schecters already and have always thought they provided better quality and features other guitars in this price range don't offer. The T S/H-1 has not dissappointed. It has a unique chimey sound like a Rickenbacker and like a number of other Schecters, offers coil-splitting. It is a little on the large side -- a 15" width, but it is a semi-hollowbody. I would definately buy another if this were lost or stolen.
          Perfect finish, quality hardware.
Very reasonable for the build quality, features and sound.

          It's a Toy

          By Ben Pasley

          from Colorado

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research T S/H-1 Electric Guitar:

          Toy.
Recently I auditioned the first run of the Schecter TSH-1 from 2000 and found it to be a very cool guitar. I thought I would give this one a try. This new one is, in short, a toy. I did not think anything about the guitar was smartly done, especially the terrible piece of Schecter branding they just stuck onto the headstock like a bad hood ornament. I guess it would be ok for a first time guitar purchase.
Neck and setup seem ok, and the controls work, but the design and look and feel are amateur at best. Toylike.
I guess for the money it might be ok, but if you are going to drop this kind of money just buy a used electric guitar where the shop owner has at least set it up.
