The Ultracure Robert Smith Signature Model Electric Guitar is a well-made, well-equipped guitar with a unique look that might be called "sophisticated Goth." Designed by the professionals at Schecter with input from The Cure's famous singer/songwriter, it features a mahogany body, 25-1/2"-scale set neck, pearl moon and star inlays on a rosewood fingerboard, Grover tuners, Seymour Duncan '59 humbuckers, TonePros TOM bridge system, and chrome hardware. Cool look. Great hardware. Hot sound.

This is one beautiful sounding guitar . I've normally been a Fender offset type of player so this was different to me . Firstly this guitar is BIG and it is HEAVY . When Schecter said solid mahogany that's exactly what it is . Despite being big and heavy it is still very easy to play and sound amazing . The neck is perfect ( not thin but not too thick ) and the tones can go from rich to just sparkling like a filtertron . The only reason I gave it a 4 1/2 on feature is for its lack of a tone knob . Not a huge deal . What blows me away about this guitar is the quality of the build . Unlike a Fender you can't see any seams in the body as if it's one solid piece. Only seam I have in mine you can see is the headstock . Paint is flawless .Frets pertect. The guitar didn't even need a setup . The guitar is just staggering . The body size will need getting used to for some but to me is not just perfect but unique .

The size, look, and inlay make this guitar unique, but the playability and the sound make it amazing. I always intended to keep 'improving' to more expensive guitars, but i sincerely doubt I will ever not use this as my primary guitar. Through pedals it is great, but the prize is when it is completely clean!

Wow, this guitar is fantastic! I also own the Schecter "Cloud" guitar and now after playing the Ultracure, I am convinced that the Cloud is purely just for looks. The Ultracure has great action, and a great full sound with or without distortion. I'm am so glad I got this guitar!

This guitar is one solid piece of machinery. Very heavy, but that's what gives it the thick rich sound. The action is set very low making it very easy and fast to play. It easily gives me the glossy glimmery 80's jangly guitar sound that bands like The Smiths, The Cure, The Church were known for. It can also lay down some smooth R&B and jazz!! I highly recommend this guitar to any guitarist of any style. The Goth appearance may turn off some people though.

I really love this guitar, it sounds incredible and the neck is wonderful. I also own a fender strat but the ultracure is much easier to play and much more fun for me. Everybody complains that it's big and heavy and won't fit into any gigbag, but there is indeed a gigbag that will fit it: the schecter diamond series gig bag. You can't go wrong with the ultracure. Robert Smith uses it on stage, would a pro use anything that wasn't really good? I doubt there is a better guitar around for that price!

This is an amazing guitar! Talk about a thick rich sound with loads of sustain and tone. The guitar stays in tune well and has great action for a guitar of its size. I went from playing a Parker to this beauty and haven?t put it down since. Robert put allot of thought into setting this Ultracure guitar up from the layout of knobs and the shape of the body, neck and all the way up to the headstock. I can honestly say if you buy this guitar it will turn into a favorite. You might think about getting a nice strap because this is not a guitar is big and beautiful.

Ive waited years for this guitar. Its a work of art.Beware its big and HEAVY!but it feels great! Those of you look'n for a case I found a Coffin bass case works great! I bought it without the intention of ever using it on stage (just because I'm a huge CURE fan) but I haven't put it down in over a year. I haven't even touched my TELE. Love this guitar, if you're think'n about it buy it you will not be dissapointed. Every show I play at least one person comes up to me and says what the heck is that, that thing is awesome!

I read your review on this guitar. I wonder if a Gibson or Epiphone Explorer or Humingbird case would fit this guitar. I own several Schector guitars including an Avenger. I had the Schector Custom Shop Sell me a Custom made case for this guitar. I own Gibsons, Fenders USA, and several other brand guitars and I always play the Avenger. Mine has a great neck and feel. I am thinking about buying the Ultracore. Let me know what you did for a case.
