OVERVIEW

Tried-and-true tonewoods with special appointments for a subtle instrument that looks and plays well.

Many luthiers consider the combination of rosewood back and sides with a spruce top to be the standard that all other wood combinations are measured against. Rich sound with ample dynamics and projection this guitar is equally at home on stage and in more intimate fully acoustic settings. The Concert Hall body shape refines the mid-range tonalities making it an ideal choice for fingerstyle players, singer/songwriters and exceptional for recording. This model includes L.R. Baggs Element electronics.

Comes with a Deluxe TRIC case.

Artist Series
The Artist Series are the upper echelon of the Seagull family. They are crafted in the Godin Acoustic Atelier by a select few luthiers using only their finest tonewoods, each hand-selected to ensure that the very highest standards are met. Features including pressure-tested solid tops, solid back and sides, scalloped Adirondack Spruce bracing, custom-polished finishes and fine aesthetic attributes, all contribute to an outstanding series of acoustic guitars.

Comments about Seagull Artist Studio Concert Hall Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This guitar was my cure for my desire for an OM or 000 Martin. Perfect size, comfortable to play, outstanding tone, gorgeous too! North-American made, and significantly less expensive than anything comparable by Martin. My only criticisms are both personal preferences. 1) I would prefer the wider Seagull neck (1.8") that the Maritime SWS series has instead of the Seagull "slim" neck (1.72"). Still, this neck is wider than most standard guitars (1.68") and is roughly the same as the 1 3/4 neck found on the Martin OMs and 000-18s. 2) I have never figured out why guitar makers feel the gold plated hardware is somehow fancier or better than chrome. Not a fan of gold-plated anything, looks a little too "Elvis-rich" to me.
