A comfortable body style with a great sound for fingerpickers.
This Seagull Maritime Mini Jumbo is an acoustic guitar with a Spruce top that boasts a gloss finish and sound distinguished by strong midrange response. With its curvaceous looks, the Martime Mini Jumbo is highly suitable for performing and recording situations where a guitar that will cut through the mix is called for. The lively midrange in this Seagull guitar will also appeal to fingerstyle players.
Seagull Maritime series guitars are made with mahogany backs and sides. Generally speaking, mahogany produces a mellower sound than other tone woods. Maritime series Seagull guitars feature a unique lamination of mahogany on each side of a center layer of wild cherry wood. You get enhanced high tones compared to a typical mahogany guitar.

I have owned several acoustic guitars - Gibson J-50, Martin D-35S, Fullerton Parlor Guitar, Alvarez Yairi Classical Guitar. The Seagull Maritime Mini-Jumbo is equal to or better than the Martin in tone, and far superior to the Gibson J-50. I have been playing guitar for 40 years, and worked for several years in a music store that sold guitars, so I have played many, many acoustic steel-string guitars. The Seagull has the best tone in the high end - loud yet mellow, great sustain, very responsive. The low end is also good - crisp and deep but not boomy. The only flaw is a slight "wolf-tone" in the mid-range, around the G, but this is only evident when fingerpicking and not noticeable when using a flat pick, and may be unique to this particular guitar. Intonation is perfect. The string action is perfect. The wide nut (1.8") allows ample room for fingerpicking. This is a seriously good guitar! The people at Musician's Friend are also the BEST!
