Crafted with quality materials and well suited for any venue!
The Seagull Performer Series Dreadnought QI is a cutaway acoustic-electric guitar that features a select pressure-tested solid cedar top and eco-friendly sustainable wild cherry back and sides. The Performer guitar is finished with a custom polish about the same thickness as their semi-gloss finish but buffed to a high luster. This is a breakthrough that gives the guitar the added responsiveness of an extra-light finish along with the great looks of high—gloss.
This Seagull dreadnought guitar's Quantum electronics are a standard feature in the Performer series along with the TRIC (Temperature Resistant Impact Case) case which provides the best possible protection for your Seagull and weighs in just slightly heavier than a nylon gig bag.
The Godin EPM Quantum I electronics system is simple in design and outstanding in performance. This single source system features an exceptionally responsive saddle transducer carefully matched to side mount electronics with rotary volume, bass, and treble controls. The electronics and controls are packaged in a small and easy to use format complemented with a finely crafted pewter cover plate. In combination with the transducer, the EQ control range and frequency content have been specifically contoured to provide a very rich and full sound reproduction resulting in performance seen only in far more complex systems.

Straight out of the box I was pleasantly surprised at the stunning looks and quality workmanship of this affordable dreadnought. I have owned dozens of quitars in my 30 + years of playing. I currently own a lovely Martin 00C and a Gibson Songwriter and have owned several Taylors and other high end instruments. I wanted a good road guitar that I could take to gigs and take on vacation without worry of damaging an expensive investment. The trick was to find an all wood guitar that had quality construction and good sound and playability in the $500 - $600 range with a good electronics. This is it! It's balanced sound rings out loud and clear with nice bass response but not boomy like some Martins. It only took a minute to fine tune it and I was playing for hours. The action and intonation was perfect out of the box. I love the cedar gloss top. I find the cedar and wild cherry to sound very good. I like it better than mahogany. I was concerned that I might not like the wider neck, but it is very comfortable to play, much like my Martin. It will please the fingerstylst as well as the agressive flatpicker. The case is really cool and very light. Seagull makes great guitars. Made in Canada, it is a very good choice for a quality guitar at cheaper import prices. This guitar is a home run.
I own Martin acoustics, Taylor acoustics, have one Gibson, and play a couple of other different brands. But anytime I get called for a gig, I take this guitar! The sound it produces is AMAZING!!! The pickup has both a mic and bridge pickup that sounds better than any other I have ever owned and after a quick setup, has the best playability! For the price you pay, you are getting in my opinion one of the best gigging guitars on the market!
