An excellent choice for fingerstyle playing.
The Seagull S6+ Folk Cutaway GT is a concert size acoustic-electric model based on the dimensions of a classical guitar. The smaller body size enhances the guitar's sound in the midrange.
The included Godin EPM Quantum acoustic guitar system is simple in design and outstanding in performance. This single source system features an exceptionally responsive saddle transducer carefully matched to side-mount electronics with rotary volume, bass, and treble controls. The electronics and controls are packaged in a small and easy to use format complemented with a finely crafted pewter cover plate. In combination with the transducer, the EQ control range and frequency content have been specifically contoured to provide very rich and full sound reproduction resulting in performance usually seen in far more complex systems.

I learned on a 3/4 size Baby Taylor. I wanted to move up to something bigger, so I was interested in the Big Baby Taylor. I bought both the Seagull Folk and a Big Baby. I dare you to compare the two side by side. I sent the Big Baby back. I wanted to buy American (or as close as possible). The Seagull is a beautifal well made instrument. It is much heavier than the Big Baby, and the neck is wider and thicker. It was worth every penny. Great guitar!
Why has no one bought this guitar, and if they have- how come they haven't left a review? This guitar is excellent! PROS- The wood and the finish are absolutely beautiful, the neck is satiny to the touch, and the gloss has no imperfections.- It came with a TRIC case (awesome, .5 lbs heavier than a gig bag, and offers more protection than a traditional hard-shell case to boot)- The electronics are dazzling and sound beautiful- The neck is wide; it is a fingerpicker?s delight- Crystal clear intonation, however features only got 8 stars because the frets are pretty small, and it?s hard to get sound out of the higher frets, even with medium sized hands.- Great action- Stays in tune very well- Projects fairly well, considering it is a smaller-bodied guitarCONS- Funky looking headstock (which has its reasons, it holds it in tune better by aligning the strings straighter)Conclusion: If you can deal with the ugly headstock, and kicking' everything else, all for a cheap price, then go for it!
