I'm by no means a KISS fan, I honestly can't stand them. However, I jumped on the price I got for this. I still not expecting much, as the guitar was a Silvertone. Heh.First, the flaws. It got to me with a scratch in the silver backing for the mirror pickguard. No biggie. Also, the tuners are rather hard to get precise with- I suggest switching them out if you buy this. It's also a little large, and has a bit of neck dive.Good things-Solid guitar. Intonation needed a little tweaking out of the box, but action was nice and low. Knobs and switches work fine, finish is good as well. The guitar is also pretty well shielded, it seems, as 60hz hum is virtually nonexistant (big difference from my other guitars). Overall, I'd say it's a pretty good buy.

The quality of this guitar was quite disappointing. Most of the problems were with the fret board where three inlays are loose and the fret board was not cleaned. Most of the inlays had a brownish film over it and weren't the shining fake mother of pearl they were supposed to be. Also the binding was white/yellow and uneven. The good about this guitar is the black sparkle finish, the Duncan Designed pickups and the rest of the hardware which was all good. The strap pegs are setup like the SG, on the back of the guitar. It makes the guitar feel very neck heavy. I had to attach the strap to the headstock instead to feel comfortable playing.

    Kick butt!

You can't go wrong with this guitar. It totally rocks. I've played for 30 years and even worked in a music store for 5 years.I have a small 15 gtr. collection now and this is my newest addition. The action is fine. It looks great. The pickups are outstanding for distorion or clean sound. Now it's even more unique as a collector's piece even though it's a Silvertone and I'm not really a KISS fan. I love this guitar and would recommend it to anyone. TWO THUMBS UP! = )

Well to behonest this guitar is amazing when i first got it it need some adjusting but that was not a problem...however it seems this guitar is diffrent to everyone.Silvertone isent the best guitar company but i am a huge fan of kiss. This is actully why i got it besause it look so diffrent then anyother guitar. The one problem i have with my almost perfect guitar is that on the high e string will not stay in tune so every time i play it i have to tune it back to standerd tuning about ever 3 or 4 song..depending on the length of the song, but this guitar is a amaing and i love it just as much as i love my 2 dean's.

    Broken upon Arrival

    By asmbmedic

Guitar arrived with a broken toggle switch. Removed the plastic pickguard that was supposed to look like a mirror and it improved the looks of the guitar. A small amount of fret buzz and the action was very high from the 12 fret down. Nice thick sound but difficult to play with the high action. Nice looking guitar once the cheap plastic parts were removed. Going to try a truss rod adjustment to see the action can be lowered. It has a very meaty thick sound and will be a very nice guitar if the action can be lowered.

    My Paul Stanley Sovereign Pro.

    By Shingwak

I am very pleased with this guitar. The playability for the value is untouchable. Great sustain and action. The Duncan pickups sound unbelievable through my Marshall. I love the contour of the body and the over look. I must admit, though, the placement of the strap pegs is hard to get used to. I am mainly a Fender man, but this gives my best Strat a run for its money. In my opinion it's a 9 out of 10. Go get one while they're still around.

This guitar is awefull. It sucks, I thought it would be cool to have this guitar but it stinks. I broke apart the first time i threw it down on the floor. I know guitars, I've played for 10 years. Save your money and buy something else.

    Is it a value?

    By Kissrocks50

I received bad action on the neck, had it professionally checked, could not be tweaked withought buzz. Other than that, it would have been worth the money but play is as important as sound.

Alright! I got this guitar for free for doing some graphics for a business! Don't get me wrong I told them what I wanted.... I play in STIGMA 13 and I used to play a Strat. But it had no life in it! This guitar got tested right away in a show w/ PLAN 9 and Thee Merry Widows. During sound check I could tell right away the balls this guitar had! The SHOW was SICK! And this guitar has brought us to a clean ass Hard crunch American RockRoll!I like! It's kool ta look at too, my cousin a Gibson owner says this is the best lookin and soundin guitar he's seen. I don't even dig Paul Stanley and Kiss, if I had to choose it would be Ace Freely! Kool?SPOILER of STIGMA 13 Nor~Cal
