I just bought this yesterday at a local music store, I hadn't planed on buying one I just wanted to see how well they played and sounded, wow Did I get a suprise, it played Better than any mexican I've ever played and it sounded pretty good(considering it had 9s on it) The only problem I had was the jack kept trying to come out,so the tech guy just put a flushmount jack on it and it works great. When I got it home I played it for about an hour, until I couldnt stand the tinny sound of the 9s,and put a set of D'Addario 11s,and did a quick set up,like lowering bridge and MAN what a difference that made, Im actually thinking about buying a walnut one sometime this year, but my wife says 8 guitars is enough for now. Great buy for the money, I also had to tighten the tuners when I changed strings, and its stayed in tune after 2 days of staight playing.

Squire guitars by Fender overall, are pretty good. IF you know what to look for and find one with the right Neck ( that really is where 90% of your interaction with an instrument is) you can save a bundle and still have a decent guitar.
I have been looking for Telecaster that I could afford. The American Made .. even most of MIM guitars were out of my reach. The Squire series I was leary of, until I got hold of this little beauty.
The Build Quality is excellent. Smooth and straight neck, Nice Black on Black finish with a rosewood fretboard. All in all as a secondary guitar for those occasions when I need the Twang and bite that only Tele's can deliver, this was a great buy. The only Mods I made was to get rid of the cheesy Mirror pickguard and replace it with a two ply black one. My Preference! And swap the pickups out with a set of Seymour Duncans that I already had. This is quickly becoming my Main Axe. Sa weet !
Fret overhang was the only problem. But a little work with a Fret File and that is OK
For what I paid, I am extremely satisfied.

This guitar is actually a pretty sweet instrument. I have 2 American made fenders which are awesome. But for the money a cool guitar to jam with. I find myself playing this guitar more then not. Just a cool guitar.

          Great Guitar!!!

Comments about Squier Black and Chrome Special Edition Tele Electric Guitar:

I recently bought this guitar for rhythm guitar purposes, and I soon realized that it is INCREDIBLE for lead playing also. The bridge pick-up gives a great dirty sound for heavier lead soloing, and the neck pick-up is amazing for chords and rhythm guitar. Overall, AMAZING guitar. I would expect to pay at least twice this for a guitar of this caliber.

          Squire Tele special edition

Comments about Squier Black and Chrome Special Edition Tele Electric Guitar:

Yep I have one of these bought in Aus brand new $400 crafted in China. Pretty good machine considering price and where it was made. I run mine through a Peavey VYPYR 30 and sounds pretty good . I am off to USA for holidays shortly and will be buying a pair of Fender Texas special pickups for her or N3's.I have more expensive guitars (Matons) Aus made but for a cheap Tele this one is good value for your buck.

Black and Chrome, take me home!

Comments about Squier Black and Chrome Special Edition Tele Electric Guitar:

I just picked up one of these from my friends and this is a great guitar. I have a Frankenstein Tele at home with a two piece swamp ash Warmouth body. This guitar is a little heavier then that one but not as heavy as the Mexican and American Teles I have strummed lately.I got this because it was a too good to be true deal to pass up. Whether you get this new or used it is a wonderful guitar that is definately a Telecaster. One last hing, buy a guitar that speaks to your regardless of what it says on the headstock. You will be much happier, trust me.

Comments about Squier Black and Chrome Special Edition Tele Electric Guitar:

i found a used one at a pawn shop marked at 200 dollars, i traded an LTD i had for it. My Ltd was a MG-750 with floyd rose. it always stayed in tune. This telecaster stays in tune just as well without a floyd rose and isn't as hard to restring. for a squier, it plays just as well as some fenders that i have played. even with the stock pickups i run the switch in the middle and through my peavey vypyr on really high gain settings, it keeps up with any humbucker guitars that i have played. It's truly a beautiful instrument.
