I've been playing on and off since 1968.

The Telecaster Custom I purchased has a wide thin neck. Very comfortable to play, and was intonated very well the entire length of the neck. No buzz, no dead spots. I've never really felt a guitar neck with this exact neck shape. I did not feel the same mojo and ease of use with the Classic Vibe 50's Tele and Strat. Possibly an excellent setup would cure that problem.

Because of the low price of the guitar, the individual parts of the guitar, specifically the bridge and nut and pickups, seem less than perfect.

The pickups are a touch flat and lifeless. However, amplified through my Marshall Class 5 and a Marshall Guv'Nor, the bridge pickup is close enough to early Zeppelin to be satisfying. Buying a Fuzz box would make it even better. The neck pickup portrayed excellent blues tone.

In conclusion: If you take each individual guitar on it's own merit, the Classic Vibe series are excellent grab and go guitars, I would think the best choice for clubbing musician's. Just what Leo Fender envisioned.

Comments about Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster Custom Electric Guitar:

This is my second Squier CV Tele Custom. The first one had a problem with not enough relief in the neck so it went back. The truss rod was loose from the factory and backed out all of the way, with no more adjustment possible to add relief. The new one is fine, with no issues. Both guitars were well executed, with excellent fit and finish work. The first one actually had prettier wood and seemed to have a better finish and overall appearance, but they are both nicely done. The volume and tone knobs are responsive, without any sloppy feeling. The pickups are surprisingly good, especially the neck pickup. I won't be changing them out. The frets are polished and smooth and level, with no buzzing with a proper set-up. I only wish that the neck was beefier, but some may prefer the stock neck. The mint green pickguard and the white binding really make this guitar look classy. I usually don't like a three-tone sunburst, but this Custom is stunning. Try as I may, I just can't find fault with this Squier. I did swap out the steel saddles for brass and switch to heavier strings. It is a blast to play!

The neck PU went out the first two weeks. Called MF and they said they would replace the guitar. I told the Rep wanted to keep this guitar because I loved the finish and the setup and planning to put customs PU's in it anyway. She gave me discount on an ES-339 case I wanted. This is why I'm a MF customer. I love this guitar and play it as much as my B-bender. Can't go wrong with this one!

Everything about this guitar is top-notch I really like the combination of vintage and modern elements !The finish is fantastic , playability also , everything I like about vintage guitars with the exception of 9 1'2 inch radius , medium jumbo frets , truss rod adjustment at the headstock . These three items are a huge improvement over vintage elements ! Never again will I think Squires are just for kids or beginners . I have been playing for 53 years.

wanted a tele with rosewood board, This fit the bill nicely. Easy playing after setup. Pickups are vintage style, not very powerful. Neck feel is great, and playability is good. Tough to beat these low cost squires
Will be swapping pups to get a little more beef, but is playable like it is, once it is set up. Has the look and feel of the classic tele it mimics. Worth the admission price.

This is my favorite electric guitar regardless of price. I played everything in the store including big buck guitars and if you put a blindfold on me I would pick this one every time. Its underwound pickups are excellent for country, blues, classic rock, and jazz. If you are looking for a metal shred machine this is NOT it. If you are looking for a classic truly vintage vibe guitar this is IT. I mod everything I buy because I like what I like and the only thing I have done to this guitar is put in a four way switch and change the strings. It really is that good!

Comments about Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster Custom Electric Guitar:

Looks, sounds and plays ok with some bridge height and intonation adjustments. 10 strings made it feel and sound better to me. Alder body is awesome. Body looks great and sounds great I wouldn't go with anything else. Neck is fairly good and straight. There's no much adjustments I could do without messing it up so I am accepting it for what it is. Pine is pretty stiff and should stay that way. Neck varnish color is nice. I'm not particulary happy with the tuning especially with open chords but that is this way to a certain degree on electric guitars. I will try a compensated nut or something if it's not to hard to change. Pickups are pretty good but I will need something that knocks it out of the park. Tuner mechanism for loading strings is nice but not sure how good or stylish they are. Metal components are not the highest quality and could use selective upgrades. I've purchased some brass components to add in the bridge. Some people say it's hard to intonate this type of bridge but I disagree. So I will upgrade the nut, pickups, brass bridge compensators, plastic knob to chrome which shouldn't be that expensive and make a big difference. Two of Keith Urban's guitars look just like this but I don't dig the cream pickguard and will change it to black, no corny perl or toirtoise shell. Then one of these days I'll go all out and get a choice American Fender but until then this is pretty cool. Love the simplicity and clarity that a Telecaster gives you. So far it's blended into my colleciton and I think it will stay that way.

Comments about Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster Custom Electric Guitar:

So i started playing .. ( my music style is blues) .. I bought this as a practice guitar .. I assumed the price less than 400 qualifies it for a solid practice axe.
I ordered it from MF to deliver to my hotel ( I was on course ). I took it to GC just to check it out. Looks great .. intonation great .. start playing it thru a tube amp .. each pickup has it's own sound ... check out the tone thru the 3 way switch ... wow!!! ... this is far better than a practice guitar .. I am thrilled ... the guy at the GC tried to convince me to trade it for a Humbucker tele that was nice .. but honestly the sound was better on this baby ... I sat there playing trying to find something wrong with the neck the fretboard .. nothing .. I ended up looking at it shaking my head . thinking what a beautiful guitar ... how am i going to convince my wife of our new addition.
Not a big deal she saw how my face lit up and that my sentiments were another amazing guitar for my collection.
