I own this guitar. It is a Stratocaster with plenty of rhythm and blues, surf, and "quack" that is far superior than the Mexican Deluxe Series or the other Squire/Squier Stratocaster makes. The pickups are real and they do more than rival the vintage hand wound early production Van Zants in one of my Strats ...they surpass them with flying colors. I've read the reveiws in here and they come from death metal freaks and wannabes and that ilk but if you are a man or a woman who wants a classy guitar that has all the and belltones and quack of a real vintage Fender Strat then this one rivals the ProTone Series and plays better than two of my 70's ers Stratocasters and my 'American '57 reissue and I am not lying! I play this guitar every weekend and Tuesday night live in front of hundreds of people who enjoy every note. I am a professional and this guitar will silence all those snob apppeal critics. It will out perform their American made Stratocaster all all points except status. I'm not ashamed of my game. No re-decal work. I'm proud of mine and my choice. This one is for Stratocaster players. If you want a metal guitar then get you a flat necked humbucker job.

This guitar is horrible. Do not buy it. I've had it for about a year, and I have not been satisfied with it at all. This guitar does not hold in tune for more than five minutes due to the tension bridge and the cheap tuners. Even if you are just a beginner, my suggestion would be to shell out a few more bucks and get the Fender Strat rather than the squire. You get what you pay for, and if you buy this you are paying for a piece of junk. Go with the fender.

Close but no cigar...

By WickedBob

Tried the Squier... didn't feel right, didn't sound right. It's a kid's guitar IMO. I have yet to see a serious performing musician walk on a stage in front of hundreds of people with a Squier.. If your serious about your playing, Get a real Fender. Even the the MIM standard. It's head and shoulders above this "toy" guitar.

Amazing guitar!!

By Soul player

from Grand Rapids, MI

When I logged on, it didn't take long for me to come across this astounding peice of art. Just a day later, I bought it and I have to say its the best guitar I've ever played. The quality you'd expect from a guitar with this price tag would seem mediocre, but this Squier is anything but that. The tone fits perfectly with my bluesy playing techniques, and the body fits snuggly on my torso when I play. If you're ever looking for nice tone at a very low price, buy this Squier!

Amazing Squier

By Soundgarden421

This is my second Guitar and let me say it is worth every penny. It sounds like a dream although I might replace the single coil in the bridge w/a dual rail seymour duncan. If you just started or are a veteran you should buy this Guitar.

I own this heavenly guitar and it has never let me down. I play this guitar for hours and hours on end and it never gets uncomfortable, it looks absolutely gorgeous, and as far as sound goes i am convinced that it has no equal. For the price i cant beleive what this axe offers. I recomend to guitarists of all styles and different abilities, BUY THIS GUITAR, you will not be displeased.

A slice of heaven!

By Silicon212

I just obtained this guitar and to say that I am impressed is an understatement! The action is low and fast, and the intonation is dead on. The finish is absolutely gorgeous, and the large headstock is groovy, baby. The pickups are nice and bright, yet soft. Perfectly suitable for blues/blues-rock/classic rock etc. The trem is nice and the guitar never goes out of tune.

good bang for the buck. I am a beginner and was able to buy this and an epiphone les paul for the price of a Mexican Strat. Plays great.

Great buy.

By Mike-tJJdN

from Seattle, WA

I am a beginner guitarist and I love this guitar. It has a great look and feel, and awesome features. It's very durable (no matter how many times I accidentally whack it against something, it never even gets scratched) and it never seems to get other marks from fingerprints, sweat, etc. And the price is great. I highly recommend this guitar.

I Own It!

By Randy Ray

from Staunton , Virginia

When I first got the guitar I thought they sent me the wrong one...I mean a much more expensive Strat. For the price you can't beat the looks sound and quality. I find it perfect for jamming at home or even on the road. Trust me, if you want Fender for a great price this is the one for sure! Keep rockin!

A guitar with many faces

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

I got this guitar as my first electric guitar, and I sucked really bad back then, but the guitar was so easy to play that I havent even thought to get a new guitar yet. The only bad thing is that the nut wont fit really heavy strings but besides that its perfect for rocking in your room or where ever you are.
