When I was a kid I had a regular electric guitar that I sadly never learned how to play. Now that I am much older, I wanted to get another guitar to finally learn how to play.
I do play bass, and having had great experience with my Squire Jazz Bass, I had no reservations going with another Squire guitar.
I chose the Telecaster because I wanted that classic sound. After hearing some video reviews, I chose this model with the double humbuckers and I'm so glad I did. It sounds fantastic. Warm, crisp the perfect classic tone you think of when you think Telecaster.
I chose the metallic orange because I thought it was plain bad-a@#. I paired it with the D'Andrea Orange Pearl Tele Pickguard (which I did have to modify to fit the HH) and now I have a truly beautiful guitar that sounds phenomenal. I couldn't be happier

I ordered a new black one and received an open box. The finish was not polished bythe neck. It has bits of debris under the finish. The head looked like it was rubbed on the sidewalk. The pots were hrs to turn and I plugged it in just to hear what humbuckers on a tele would sound like and they were the same as a standard single guitar. Nothing good at all.

Comments about Squier FSR Affinity Telecaster HH with Matching Headcap:

I use this tele as my back up when playing classic rock when the sound of a Les Paul is just to rich and the sound of a strat is to thin

Great Guitar with some high end parts

        By Ronnie

        from Austin, Texas

Comments about Squier FSR Affinity Telecaster HH with Matching Headcap:

This is a special FSR guitar, so it's made in a short run (around 600 made, then no more). It does have some higher end Fender parts on it (tuners, and pickups). I've had it now for 4 weeks, and after you give her a good tuning, she plays really good. I have several guitars, and many of them I paid a lot more money for, and this guitars plays, and sounds like a much more expensive guitar. I looking for a nice priced, and well playing guitar you won't go wrong with this one ........... and soon these will be gone.

Comments about Squier FSR Affinity Telecaster HH with Matching Headcap:

Right off the bat I was bummed because the description states that the color is "metallic black" It is black.... plain old boring black.
First thing that struck me quality-wise were the tuners, very junky & sticky feeling, not even close to smooth. Fingerboard feels oddly dry but that's an easy fix, otherwise seems nice. No apparent fret issues. The finish quality is decent but there are a few spots with blemishes underneath which kind of sucks. I haven't really had the chance to plug it in yet so no comments on electronics.
Bottom line is...I wanted a tele simply because I've never owned one & I waited for this to go on sale so it only cost a buck seventy nine, for that money even if it needs upgrades (fully expected that) and some tweaking I consider it a bargain. Its definitely not going to take the place of my Les Paul.

For the money it beats a lot of guitars out there . I was surprised . Tuners and pickups need replaced but the rest is a steal . For what it cost I knew it would need something but still great .

Comments about Squier FSR Affinity Telecaster HH with Matching Headcap:

I didn't expect much, so I was quite impressed with this buy.
            - Great tone. Has some quack to it in the middle position, but growls a little more under distortion than a typical single coil. Pickups are actually quite good.
            - Great neck. Feels like a comfortable strat neck. Has a slim profile and is comfortable for long jam sessions. Frets are well finished and nice.
            - She's a beauty. Metallic paint job and matching headstock (mine's orange) make her a real head turner. I dubbed her "Ginger."
            - Some of the finicky parts of teles are missing -- like the three saddle bridge.
            - Reminds me of the best parts of a strat and a tele in a great HH unit.

I'm a fan of this guitar. In fact, the humbuckers clean up so well, it has replaced my other SS tele. This one is almost as clean on the clean setting and has more growl under distortion. It's a nice bridge between a telecaster or a strat and a Les Paul. The pickups have a surprising thickness and depth to them that I didn't really anticipate. Fit and finish are outstanding and mine required no significant setup adjustments out of the box.

Incredible value. The finish and playability of this guitar are superb. The color is a deep rich orange metalflake that verges on red depending on the light. Like a spanky musclecar from the 1970s. The pickups have got some bite to them. They clean up nicely. The standard C shaped neck has a smooth satin finish. The frets are decently finished with no rough edges. The tuners feel cheap; although they hold tune pretty well. It's hard to complain about a guitar this inexpensive and this well made. I love it!

You simply cannot get a better guitar for the money. After a proper set up and some fine tuning this guitar is ready to go to my next show. I love the light weight yet sturdy feel and I love the look of it. The neck needed some minor adjusting but this guitar plays great now. The frets are by no means sharp but could benefit from some small sanding and cleaning up to get a smoother neck feel, but for an inexpensive guitar I'm not going to spend much time working on this guitar. It is what it is, a playable, functional, full sounding electric guitar that will serve me for years to come. If I ever decide to upgrade any of parts this would be a great base for that. Thank you musician's friend for the great prices, and most of all, exceptional customer service.

I loved it as soon as I unboxed it! Great, eye-catching color! The orange finish sometimes appears deep red. Love the matching headstock. It just needed a slight truss rod adjustment, and raised the pickups a smidge. It arrived in tune and the intonation was 90% there. I plugged it in, sounds great, easy/fun to play, and. One heck of a deal. I tried it at a couple shows and it sounds beefy and feisty. I'm very pleased. Just wish there were other colors to choose from...and for the price I'd buy another one tomorrow!! How about metallic deep blue ?!

I don't use it much. I will never buy another open box guitar again.

I bought blemished to modify, found no blemish, I think some one could not set it up and returned it,cause
the intonation was way wrong as if they tried,so I removed both pikups and put my e.johnson dp212 in bridge and esquire guard on ; set up. strings, and love it.....

I bought this guitar as a second guitar, but it's so good that I will be taking it to all my gigs. It's a beautiful guitar. The HHs sound fantastic. The neck feels good. What a deal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
