I purchased the Dissent Strat about two years ago and I've had plenty of time to give an honest review.ProsThe paint job is good, the vintage look of the hardware is good. The bridge/neckplate/tremolo bar look tarnished. The tuning keys and pots are rust-free. The paint job still looks good. No bubbles or peeling or any manufacture defaults. Sounds good practicing through my Spider III 15.ConsLast week I set the inotation/pickup height/action and check the hardware. It seems like the tuning nuts and heads were not tightened enough from where it was assembled. Added a couple of springs to the tremelo (only two were in it) and I thought the frets looked seated fair fair, for the price. Pickups needed set badly, and the single coils did not spring up so I haven't adjusted them to Fender specs, but I assume that will help fix the humbucker being much louder than them.OverallIt's been a fair guitar for the price. Tighten the hardware and set it up right and it's worth the price. Solid body, good paint job, good neck, middle of the road pickups. Makes an excellent beginner's guitar. I'm going to use as main guitar for venues after the new pickups are installed.

i got this guitar b/c it does have a very cool graphic however, when i got it i wish i never wasted my money. First things first everything on this guitar is really cheep it doesnt feel solid at all so about the 2nd time i played it i noticed the set up was all messed up so i went into my local guitar shop and had it fix still though it doesnt feel right. When I went to put in new strings I noticed that when you unscrew the backplate they messed up on the holes for the screws, and there are 100 mess up holes that dont fit. Also The guitar only comes with 2 springs in the bridge so if you do for some reason waste your $ on this thing make sure you get atleast 3 on there ( I like to use 50). Finally I noticed that the graphix peels right off!!! I think im going to take this thing to some charity or somthing b/c its really not usefull to me.

Perfect guitar for anyone who is looking for a kick butt guitar that won't be like a kick in the groun to pay for. defenetly would by another for any purpose of music. The only thing that has changed from when I bought this guitar (2 years ago) and now is that the frets have gotten smaller. Mine came with medium jumbo and now they are medium.
Great Bridge Humbucker. Handels low tunings very well, and doesn't get muddy unless you use WAY WAY WAY to much distortion. The Tuners stay in tune very well.
I gave this guitar an 8 because after a few years of having the guitar, all of the hardware has rusted. Everything is still fully functional, it just hurts the looks of the guitar in my opinion.
I gave it a 9 because it is a great guitar, but the neck is to thick for me. Its great for both leads and rhythm.

I play in a deathcore style band and this guitar has been great. I use really low tunings and lots of gain and this guitar has handled it greatly. It has stayed in tune very well and doesn't get too muddy. Not to mention the feel of the guitar is great too. It's worth the money!

After three years of owning this baby, I play it more than any other guitar in my collection. The other day I decided to try Robin Trower's "Victims of the Fury" on it for the first time & was floored. Then tried Jimi's "Hey Joe" for the first time & was floored again. Needless to say, this is not only a superb guitar, but is also my main one as well. Jumbo Kudos Fender...!

I got this guitar for christmas and thought it was great. The only problem is it goes out of tune really easy and mine has a green tint to it. If it stayed in tune it would be great.

Two years ago I decided I was going to learn how to play the guitar. I had previous musical experience but have never tried to play a stringed instrument. In my local guitar shop this unique design caught my eye and I bought it. This guitar was very easy to learn and play on not to mention it sounded great the Duncan HB102B humbuckers really put it ahead of other guitars in this price range. As I progressed I joined a band and we played a few local shows. For the shows i bought a Fender Frontman 100 watt amp and a Boss Me-50 effects pedal and the guitar sounded wonderful onstage it even plays better then my friends Mexican made Stratocaster. Since then I have moved on to a Gibson Les Paul but this guitar is an overall amazing buy for anyone wanting to start out learning the guitar on a great instrument.

I was looking for a new guitar because my telecaster was past its best and seen this in a shop window. I bought it and i love it. The sounds great. Its cheap and it has a great design(I own the dissent design). Overall its a great guitar.

Very decent guitar. Made of actual wood (Gasp!) but be warned: the fret job on these guitars is CRAP. Anything above the 12th fret is just horrific at best. I even replaced the neck with another one off of a buddys Obey strat it it was just as terrible. The humbucker is VERY thin sounding as well. Remedy these 2 things and you got yourself a pretty decent guitar for little money.

I bought this gutiar about 2 years ago and so far i haven't been too displeased. It's held up pretty well and sounds good in almost any style.One major problem with mineis that the input jack wasnt screwed on properlyand the top screw was drilled halfway into the wood and halfway into the cavity that holds the input jack and wires causing it to fall off alot.The graphics are pretty cool but arent contrasting black and white like in the photos. Mine has a slight greenish tint to it. Which doesn't look bad, but wasnt what i was expecting.I could also go with out all the fake rust.

This guitar stock setup sucks, but thats a easy fix, I've heard about fake rust but I guess mine bypassed that point during production cause ever since I got mine home its rusted more and more and more "unexpected." I've never regrted buying it as a knock around guitar and it has really impressed me mith its playability and sound but it needs that 3rd spring.
