I'm not a professional guitar player though i've been playing for 11 years on and off. I used to play local made guitars in my town that is made out of jack fruit wood. Until i bought this guitar and was amazed. I like it's finish. It sounds perfectly. I chose this guitar over ovation's applause series because of its crisp sound. However, the gig bag is totally a junk as well as the strap. But the important thing is the guitar itself. Furthermore, the string action is a bit high but a good start for beginners, it will eventually strenghten your fingers and improve your guitar playing.

I won it in a raffle :]. Had I not won this, I would not have bought it. I am an experienced bass player, but I Owned an acoustic prior to this one. This guitar is made in China, and it's a squier acoustic. Two thing bad of the bat. At the factory, they just threw the stings on there without stretching them, something a beginner would become very frustrated with. One of the tuning pegs was as lose as a son-of-a-gun as well. They put a "Quality Control" sticker on there, but I doubt they even check them. My 16-year-old Epiphone is better than this. But, I suppose it is good for a backup acoustic ("Just in case"), Or parents on a SEVERE budget just trying to make their kid happy. But parents (or kids) please, look elsewhere. Unless, of course, you win it in a raffle XD

    By Anonymous

this was the first guitat i ever put my hands on and it has an amazing sound the action is high but this guitar is made for begginers so it was probably made like that on purpose for finger streght, overall a great guitar to begin playing

    Don't waste your money.

    By Allaroundmusician

I bought this guitar about two years ago to begin with. It looked pretty nice. I played it, and it sounded average. I brought it home, and found that the string were very high off the fretboard. Even after sanding the bridge down, it still was too high for comfort. After about half a year when I bought it, the strings began to rust, but what do you expect from this price guitar? Then, a crack appeared on the neck close to the headstock. A month later, the headstock broke clear off when I accidentally knocked it gently on the wall. As for the finish, it is not high quality, and I found that dents can be put in it very easily.

    simply musical

    By umm...

This was my first guitar. I love every second of every minute that I play it, for the 5 years I've had it. The action is high, but that is what made me into the guitarist I am today. Simply beautiful. The finish is flawless, i haven't had any problems, maybe because I take care of my guitars and let the neck get warped and the finish cracked. It's been through a lot, and it will go through more for a long time.

    Great Guitar

    By Anonymous

I must have got the pick of the litter. I own two other guitars and this one is by far the best. It's easy to play and sounds great. This was my first guitar and I use it more than my others.

    Not Great.

    By AlvarezKid612

I do not suggest buying this guitar even if you are a first time player. I suggust going with Washburn D100DL, Washburn DK20CET, or a Ibanez JamPack IJV50 if your looking for a nice starting guitar. But if your not looking for a starter guitar and your looking for a new acoustic... dont even bother to think about this Guitar. its equal if not worse then a First Act.

    great starter guitar

    By Jordan M.-l67f1

    from East Tennessee

I got this guitar when I first started playing a year and a half ago and it has served its purpose very well I'm upgrading to a new one in a couple of days but that is just because I want a Martin. This guitar did its job and it has been a great starter guitar.

    This baby rocks!!!

    By Telecaster07

    from Colombia

Getting a dreadnght style guitar in my country is a pain... People here prefer playing classical style and don't even know about american guitars. I bought this guitar about a month ago, and the only problem with it were the strings that came with it. I changed them for a set of Martin Acoustic SP phosphor bronze, and now it rocks.... This is a must have guitar!!

    Great Acoustic

Although the strings are very hard, this baby is great. It stays in tune perfectly and has a great sound. The only sucky thing is the Gig Bag. they gave me this weird leather one that broke in 2 days. Overall it is good, buy it.
