Comments about Squier Vintage Modified Stratocaster '70s Electric Guitar:

Got this and it sounded fantastic and played easily right out of the box. Used it at band practice and it blended nicely when playing rhythm and cut through on leads when it needed to. The action was set nice and low and the saddles came set up just the way I like. I switched out the black pick guard with the D'Andrea blue swirl pearl pick guard and it looks sharp.

Comments about Squier Vintage Modified Stratocaster '70s Electric Guitar:

Guitar is not my primary instrument. I bought this guitar to widen my horizon a bit. I choose this Squire Vintage Modified Stratocaster '70s because of the excellent reviews and the attractive price. I was not disappointed, the guitar plays well just out of the box. I did not have to do any adjustments and the guitar was easy to tune. Although I am not a guitar guru, I think one has to spend much more money to get a better guitar. This guitar is a bargain and I recommend highly to give it a try.

Comments about Squier Vintage Modified Stratocaster '70s Electric Guitar:

Best feeling guitar I've ever owned. Comfortable in the hand and sweet on the tones. My expecatations were exceeded for the price. Quality thru and thru. I've put my ES335 down and picked up the magic with this Vintage Modified '70s Strat.

Comments about Squier Vintage Modified Stratocaster '70s Electric Guitar:

Super guitar for the price! Sound, action, feel are all 100% in my opinion. I have owned alot of guitars over the years and this one is a perfect example of what a strat should be for a small amount of cash. Its far better than any Mex strat I have owned and a favorite amoung my Squires. The acton is nice and the highgloss finish on the neck is sweet and smooth. Pickups goe from bell tone clean to nice overdriven metal tones. Get one, you wont regret it.

Comments about Squier Vintage Modified Stratocaster '70s Electric Guitar:

I've owned around 15 guitars including American made Fenders and I've got to say this guitar is one of my favorites. The Seymour Duncan pickups cut through the mix very well while still maintaining the strat quack that we all love. I keep looking at the headstock thinking.. This is a Squier? I've retired my custom MIM Strat for this one.

I use this with my line 6 pod ux1, the fretboard is extremely smooth. there are a fair amount of hum that goes along with the pick ups (which is expected in single coils) all the parts are solidly made. the tone is very bright and crystal clear. overall this is a very nice purchase for the price.

I started with a FENDER 61 candy apple red strat, great guitar and let it slip on by...stupid me. WELL, this guitar plays as well and then some. MINE....well it is a bit different than those sold here. OLDER...by a few yrs. Mine made in INDIA...Indian Cedar body...great tone. like a cross between mahogany and ash....great. neck with rosewood fingerboard..same duncan pickups...super pups. very responsive. good fret work on necks. I think all the tone pots and whammy bars same same as MEX fenders?? tuners same too. all in all...why pay so much more for a name? If you are ERIC CLAPTON and have $1200 to spend ok, if not, why pay it? I sure do not have it. MINE>...well here we go...vintage red burst finish, rosewood fret wood, smaller style headstock....glossy neck finish....superb workmanship. Dont know squat about the basswood. I have seen squier strats with basswood, played em at local store here in St Joseph MO...had a orange brown finish...not sure of paint name...butterscotch?? had a tortoisshell pickguard..nice guitar, almost got it, but got this one instead. Mine has a tiger maple top on the indian cedar....really classy look...here is what I think, been playing FIFTY YRS NOW...NOT A PRO, BUT FOOL AROUND ALOT....BUY this guitar if you want a great guitar...if you find an older one with the indian cedar body I would suggest that first...also they have the tiger maple top on them even the black ones...owned a HSS version of that too..great tone there as well....for the money,,,get this over a MEX fender...nuff said...but get the one made in INDIA...you wont be sorry, trust me on this one ok?

I have played a 1994 PRS EG3 for 20 years and have some minor electronic and other minor issue to resolve. I play out and needed a stop gap guitar to play and seen this one and got it. Passed all the test needed to use this instrument and a couple gigs I will add to the mix and look to get another Strat.
