Comments about Squier Vintage Modified Stratocaster '70s Electric Guitar:

Super guitar for the price! Sound, action, feel are all 100% in my opinion. I have owned alot of guitars over the years and this one is a perfect example of what a strat should be for a small amount of cash. Its far better than any Mex strat I have owned and a favorite amoung my Squires. The acton is nice and the highgloss finish on the neck is sweet and smooth. Pickups goe from bell tone clean to nice overdriven metal tones. Get one, you wont regret it.

Comments about Squier Vintage Modified Stratocaster '70s Electric Guitar:

I've owned around 15 guitars including American made Fenders and I've got to say this guitar is one of my favorites. The Seymour Duncan pickups cut through the mix very well while still maintaining the strat quack that we all love. I keep looking at the headstock thinking.. This is a Squier? I've retired my custom MIM Strat for this one.

I use this with my line 6 pod ux1, the fretboard is extremely smooth. there are a fair amount of hum that goes along with the pick ups (which is expected in single coils) all the parts are solidly made. the tone is very bright and crystal clear. overall this is a very nice purchase for the price.

All my friends are musicians and I really can't play at all. This guitar seemed like an excellent value from what others had said. I was not disappointed. Everybody loves it. I have 2 more ordered that I am going to give as gifts!

I have played a 1994 PRS EG3 for 20 years and have some minor electronic and other minor issue to resolve. I play out and needed a stop gap guitar to play and seen this one and got it. Passed all the test needed to use this instrument and a couple gigs I will add to the mix and look to get another Strat.

Comments about Squier Vintage Modified Stratocaster '70s Electric Guitar:

I love the late 60's and 70's strats. My first pro guitar was a 68 strat, and I have always loved them. I came upon these here at MF and loved the look of them, and watched some reviews on you tube. So after all that I ordered one. I was more than surprised at the playability of this guitar...pretty amazing if you ask me. Everything works great, the fit and finish is close to perfect. I ordered the black one because that was the color of my 68.I'm gonna replace the pickguard and knobs and pu covers with white ones then it will look like my first one, but if you looking for an affordable strat that plays and sounds great, you owe it to yourself to go try one out.

Comments about Squier Vintage Modified Stratocaster '70s Electric Guitar:

I bought my first brand new guitar in high school, a 1964 Jaguar so I've been playing for a while. I have a lot of high end axes PRS Gibson American strats etc. I got this guitar to take to jam sessions and have a cheap guitar for a beater. I got the black on black. Sound was pretty good, but I installed a Dimarzio fastrac prewired pickguard because I like high gain QUIET pups. Wow, what a difference. This "beater" is now my main go to guitar. The maple neck is smooth and fast. I bought a Jimmy Vaughn MIM strat and used it for 2 hours and never got it out again. This guitar blows my MIM away big time. Great sustain and tone. I play thru a Blackstar soloist 60. This is the best bang for the buck out there bar none. Do not hesitate get this!

The reason there are no bad reviews is there is nothing bad to say about this guitar. I have been playing all my life and have played just about every kind of guitar made. This one is the best Stratocaster I've owned and that is saying a whole lot. I put vintage cream knobs, pickups etc. to give it the Gilmourish look. The vintage "string in" tuners should be on all guitars!

The first guitar I ever bought was a 1964 Fender Jaguar. I bought it brand new. Been Playing for awhile. Have many guitars Fender, Gibson, PRS, etc. I wanted to get a beater that sounds decent and not have to worry about something happening to it. Picked up this black beauty, did a setup and replaced the pups with a Dimarzio prewired fast trac pickguard. Totally noise free and believe it or not, this is now my primary go to. It does everything you want it to do. Stays in tune, even when divebombing Great clean tones and the neck is a dream and very fast. Well built light and just a joy to play...
Definately get this axe. Forget the MIM's
