Comments about Sterling by Music Man AX30 Electric Guitar:

Bought this instrument as my main workhorse guitar for gigs two to three times a week. I am always on the go and needed a good sounding guitar that had a price tag comfy enough for me to be willing to move it around at this crazy pace. I play in a top 40s band doing all sorts of gigs. This guitar has great tone for all the stuff we play. The volume and tone controls cover enough terrain for me to go from old jazzy sounds to hard rocking modern styles ( I would not say it is ideal for heavy metal). The guitar is comfortable; the finish is top notch; electronics work Perfectly and quietly.Came with multiple fret buzzes but still playable. Perfect for tap techniques. Please note that if you are a fan of jumbo frets this guitar is not for you.. Frets are tiny which I personally like..

Comments about Sterling by Music Man AX30 Electric Guitar:

Always been a fan of Music Man Axis guitars. Was surprised when a friend first introduced me to the Sterling line. After playing his Sterling AX3, I started looking and playing as many as I could. Finally settled on the AX30, and I have not been disappointed.

The fit and finish is excellent, and comparable to instruments costing three or four times as much money.

The pickups are decent for the price of the instrument. I will probably upgrade them sometime in the future, but for now, they are just fine for practicing and jamming.

You can compare the Sterling by Music Man line with the Mexican made Fender Standards. Roughly the same quality in components and construction.

Comments about Sterling by Music Man AX30 Electric Guitar:

Advise professional set up. Action on mine was a little too high, but this was easily corrected. Guitar comes with a very good gig bag.
