The Wild-IV Electric Guitar is a straightforward no frills instrument built with all premium hardware and electronics. Dual Humbucking Red Hot (Ceramic) pickups in both neck & bridge position. A string-through fixed bridge combined with the straight string pull three-on-a-side headstock with Grover tuning machines provides superior string tension. One piece 3D Vibracell body and neck with a Rosewood fingerboard. Wild color selections.
Vibracell is a patented process of completely molding both electric and bass guitars including the neck and headstock, from the patented Switch Vibracell material creating an instrument with precise harmonic resonance and sound frequency. Vibracell allows the entire instrument to be created as a whole with complete control of neck, body weight and density by controlling the internal cells. With the ability to control the cells we can effectively tune the body and neck to exceed the characteristics and response of those instruments made from the best available woods in the world. Additionally, Vibracell has the pure strength to withstand extreme temperature changes that affect traditional wooden bodies and necks.
The ability to control the cells density allows the neck to be formed with the body as one piece. Vibracell allows a true one piece neck-through design that eliminates the gluing of two half bodies to the neck. The one piece neck-thru body approach allows for energy to be transmitted through the entire body not only with extreme efficiency, but at a higher rate of speed ultimately delivering pure sustain and clarity.
Vibracell technology allows the instrument to be created equally, time and time again without variances in sound due to the variances in wood.
Vibracell models are offered with traditional Rosewood fingerboard and our proprietary Ebonite fingerboard. Ebonite provides the bold rich smooth warm sound of ebony along with the punch of hard rock maple. Ebonite transfers the energy from the neck to the body at an extreme high rate of speed and intensity resulting in superior crystal clear harmonics and extraordinary sustain.

This is hands down the best value priced guitar out there. Everythingworks as it should and it's as well made as instruments that sell forseveral times the price, in fact its better than most. It gets in tune, stays in tune, sustains forever, intonates perfectly, plays easily andcomfortably and the workmanship is flawless.Look at the features: 24.75" scale, one-piece neck/body, string through body, sixsaddle hard tail bridge, high output open coil humbuckers, straightstring path to the Grover Rotomatic tuners. The electronics are quietand work perfectly, the fingerboard is bound and the frets are dressedsmoothly and uniform in height so every note sounds clearly plus thetruss rod has bi-directional adjustment. As icing on the cake, theinstrument is perfectly balanced when strapped on, neither neck heavynor uncomfortably hefty, yet it sustains like a Les Paul.I am also pleased that the acoustic timbre of Vibracell is so musicalthat the instrument actually sings with a unique tone. I can't believe how muchguitar this is for the money. In 40 years of playing all the namebrands I haven't ever been more satisfied with an instrument purchase.
I bought this guitar a couple of weeks ago because of the cool body style and the price tag. Truthfully I had no idea how this guitar would sound, but I was on a budget and my previous guitar had kicked it so to speak. So I went ahead and ordered my switch with my fingers crossed hopeing for the best. First off let me say that the picture of this guitar does not do it justice because its one of the most beautiful guitars I have ever seen. No its not a classic flying-v or an SG but in some respects the gold flecked paint and the wave bodystyle looks cooler than a flying V or SG. Secondly, I plugged this beauty into my amp and it blew my mind. When I play it clean it sounds so clear. I get no feedback of any kind from playing sweeps or complicated music. On my previous guitar (a jackson) I would try to play clean chords and It would never sound clean enough for my liking, this guitar has a very acoustic beautiful sound while played clean. However when I kicked it over to distortion (adding a boss overdrive peddal) it becomes a monster. All and all, this is one of the best guitars I've ever played and is better than my 300$ jackson. So If you get a chance pick this guitar up, you wont regret it.
37 years playing guitar, if they made it I have owned it. I was hesitant to purchase a "plastic" guitar. However, after the first our of playing I am impressed with the workmanship, feel, playability and sound of this guitar. Classic rock, punk, metal this guitar will do it. Might not fit in with a wedding band but hey, I have seen BC Rich's on a wedding band guitar player. Nice feel, good components, excellent finish, great for a beginner OR an advanced player looking for a backup. In my case it rounds off my arsenal of over 30 guitars nicely.
This is an excellent axe for the money. It's hard to believe that you can get such a piece of nice quality workmanship with hot humbuckers, great low action (no fret buzz) - almost a perfect setup right out of the box, and good hardware for so little money. You can easily compare this guitar to other guitars costing a multiple of this axe. Also, this guitar isn't a toy, it's really a serious unit and every beginner will be more than happy to start out like that, ... every advanced and even pro musician will love this guitar as it sounds and plays great and you won't have to worry about getting a scratch or to have it stolen, ... just buy several units. You will only wonder why you've ever spent a thousand bucks or so on some popular 'holy grail' brand axe when you could have purchased this one for next to nothing. The Vibracell material is like wood (weight and feel) with very good sustain and the metallic black looks sharp and the other colors are probably pretty cool too. It's good that they've used the rosewood fretboard which is better than the ebonite which Switch often uses. The neck plays fast and easy, and it's comfortable, and surprisingly it also stays in tune quite well even after hours of string bending and hammering chords. Do yourself a favor and just buy a few of them, and you won't regret it, but instead you'll be very happy you've got these guitars.
This guitar was great out of the box! Smooth neck, great action and the pickups are just what I use in my other guitars, an alnico II in the neck and an alnico V in the bridge. The best parts of this guitar is easily the amazing action, the never ending sustain the vibricel provides, and the best sounding clean tone I've gotten to date out of an electric guitar.
Got the Switch Wild-IV for my birthday. It's a good value for a basic, no frills guitar. The one-piece body and string-through design produce superb sustain. Couple this with the stock ceramic HH pickups, and you have a guitar that sings with a growl. The out-of-the box setup was fair; needed to tweak the action quite a bit, but the adhustment was smooth and simple. The overall fit and finish are very good -- needed just a bit of screw and nut tightening. One of the tail screws is stripped, but I don't think that will make a difference in the long run. My go-to axe is a '99 Am. Standard Strat., backed with a Tele Deluxe. The Switch doesn't have quite the tonal subtleties of those guitars, but I'm sure it will find it's way into my sonic lineup. I run a Peavey Classic 30, and the Wild-IV sounds fine through it, straight up or through my effects rig. The short neck takes a bit of getting used to, but it also took me back to my first electric, a Fender Mustang. Overall, a good little axe at a great little price.
It's a very nice guitar! I bought the green one and the color is so bright even prettier in person. I bought it for my son for Christmas so he hasn't seen it yet but my Dad plays guitar and he tuned it and played it and he LOVES it!!! and the price is AWESOME! GREAT DEAL!
