I bought my Papoose at a local guitar store about six years ago after picking it up and playing it for about 5 min. The unique sound and the ease of playing wowed me and I have been in love with it ever since. I have had no qualit issues at all and have used it mostly for recording because of the mandolin-like sound. Mine was one of the US made-pre Fender era, so I'm not sure if the same quality is in the imported models. I highly recommend it for fun and unique sound.
