I picked up one of these guitars after I sold my Taylor. I was not certain that I would like it, since I was spoiled by the Taylor, but I fell in love with it. The unplugged sound is sweet and smooth. I have not figured out a good amp setting on my Line 6 Spyder yet to get a sound that I like, but it is so mellow unplugged that I could care less. It played great right out of the box.
I got this guitar a couple weeks ago and just love it!! Takamine makes great guitars! All I can say is it
Got my Guitar today, shipped very fast.packed real good and tight. Now for the Guitar itself. This thing is rock solid, very light, and one good looker.the finish is satin not glossy, the tobbacco color is very nice.Action very low, plays real easy and loud.bass tones show up well.this is the real deal.
I had played the EAN10c (natural finish) in the store and loved it... but I wanted the Tobacco Burst finish. I special ordered the guitar and believe it or not, it took almost 6 months to recieve. I must admit, it's one of the most beautiful guitars I have seen. It played OK out of the box but action wasn't exactly right. I had it set up professionally, as I always do. My luthier called me and explained that there was definate problem with the guitar- the nut was miscut terribly- action too low and spacing was way off. He contacted Takamine and they paid for the repair - no problem. I am now left with one of the most beautiful sounding guitars I've ever played. The action is like no other. I may have had some initial problems with it but now it my favorite guitar.
