I have owned the EF341SC for three years now and have performed over 150 gigs with it. It is a quality, pro instrument that was made for the stage. The preamp sounds great live and the built in tuner is invaluable during a show. The three band EQ helps the guitar finds its place in a live mix well. There is a reason pro players like Springsteen, John Bon Jovi, and numerous other players use this guitar on stage - great tone, great playability, quality workmanship. It is not a 'recording' acoustic, though you could do that with it. I've had several high dollar acoustics that sounded better unplugged, but this is a stage guitar. It was made for the stage and the pro player and excels at that job.

I guess it is okay to like a guitar because Bruce and Bon Jovi plays it. But as a hard working guy who knows that These do commercial successes have at least 100+ guitars who cares what they like? I played this guitar when it was last on sale and passed on it. I like the EGC531SSC better for half the price. Yes this guitar has the flashy binding and cedar top but it should have something for the price. To me it plays good, sounds good, and looks good and there are a lot of good guitars in this price range. This one is not special in my book.

Comments about Takamine EF341SC Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
I've had my Takamine EF-341 for 25 years now. The guitar gets better with age. Over the years, I've had to put in a new pickup and electronics but not because of the manufacture malfunction. I strum kinda hard and hit my palm on the bridge as I strum, so I broke the pickup under the saddle. I have many other high end guitars but none are like this one. mine is really worn looking, has pick stratches all over it and buckle marks. The frets are needing replaced and its still my favorite. I had this guitar long before alot of the big name singers was using them so I'm not basing my opinions on them. This is just a all around great guitar.
Comments about Takamine EF341SC Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
The only negative thing about the Takamine EF341SC is I didn't get one sooner. It's the only guitar I use on stage. The electronics are top notch and sounds great through my Peavy Ecoustic amp or the PA.It's a beautiful instrument and plays like a dream.I had to tweek the neck a little, but I have never bought a guitar that I didn't have to tweek. My Taylor is still my favorite unpluged.

Comments about Takamine EF341SC Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
I've had my EF341 since 1996. Mine has no cutaway which makes it rare I think. It is one of 3 TAKS I have owned. If you perform, BUY ONE. I use both EF341 and EF381EC (12). I don't need the Eagles or Bruce or Toby Keith to tell me anything I don't already know. For the money, it's the best sound and look and feel you could ever ask for in one guitar. I have a real job, but I play my TAK in clubs FOR MONEY every weekend. This guitar rocks.
Comments about Takamine EF341SC Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
So after buying and selling/returnig 2 gibsons and 2 taylors I have found the perfect guitar as long as it is plugged in. Unplugged it hasn't much volume. But plugged in it has a prefectly even volume on all strings, is easy to play ( after a little work on the saddle), the fret board is smooth and dense. I absoutly love the sound and playability of this guitar. I'll stick to my Martin for unplugged enjoyment though.
Comments about Takamine EF341SC Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
I have owned my EF341 for 9 years and I love it. It has a great sound and it plays so easy. I can't say that it is better than some of the higher-end Gibsons or Martins that cost thousands of dollars, but I will say that there is nothing even close to the price that can compare to the sound and feel of this guitar.
Comments about Takamine EF341SC Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
I have owned my Tak for over 16 years. I have played it everywhere and it is the best guitar in my opinion. Very good value and they just get better with age.
Comments about Takamine EF341SC Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
I've owned the EF341SC for about three years and every year I go down to the guitar store thinking "wouldn't it be nice to get a new guitar?", yet when I sit down with a Martin or a Taylor or a Gibson I find the sound just doesn't compare with my Tak. Every year I get convinced all over again that the EF341SC is just a great great sounding guitar and a tremendous value relative to other guitars. My highest praise, unplugged or plugged in.
Comments about Takamine EF341SC Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
This is the best guitar I have ever owned. I prefer it to anything I have played at music stores as well. I personally like it better than any Martin or Taylor I have tried. I've had my Tak for 7 years and, what can I say, it's just fabulous. The tone is an absolute dream, it tunes perfectly and stays in tune FOVEVER (it seems), and the action is amazing. I play rhythm and lead guitar and often use this guitar with a crunchy distorted sound (through my effects pedal) and it even sounds great like that. Of course I use it for several clean sounds as well and have never been dissapointed in anyway. I don't know what else to say...I would encourage you to try it for yourself. One more thing...It's fun to see so many professional artists using it...Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Toby Keith, and so many others. I didn't know so many big name people liked this Takamine when I got it...I didn't buy it BECAUSE of that, but I can see WHY THEY LOVE IT TOO.
Comments about Takamine EF341SC Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
I first got this guitar about 5 years ago. I went to a music store and played almost every acoustic they had, Ovation, Gibson, Etc. I was drawn to this guitar. The sound is amazing, the feel is incredible. Even though the price tag was high, it was worth it. Although the price is less than many other top end acoustics... I haven't seen a better model!!!
