The absolute best "all around" guitar I've owned. Plays sweet and has a fast neck for an acoustic electric. Now you will never get me to say bad things about Martin or Gibson, but you will not get as great of sound, without spending another $1500. Whether plugged or unplugged, you'll be playing a top of the line instrument that will go head to head with the best.

This is not a stinky guitar and I own the rogue set and this guitar is much better. The bottom is tight and the midranges are mellow. My problem is that the high ends are subdued here like with other tks. I would love to hear clean rings not like a Taylor's artificial cling but a full ring of tones. This guitar is also not a solid body guitar and for this price it should be.

I've owned this for over 4 years and love it. I tried all the big brands in the local stores - Martin, Taylor, Gibson - and the Tak was the best combination of fit/finish, sound, playability, cost. You might find a similar guitar that sounds a bit better, or has nicer woodwork, but anything that had all this guitar has was at least $1,000 more. Sounds great with lots of low end, great volume. Plays easy and closer to an electric than any other acoustic I tried. Beautiful woods, bindings, etc.My only complaint is that one of the inlays on the bridge is not quite flush with the wood.I look forward to playing this for many more years.
Comments about Takamine EF360SC Acoustic Electric Guitar:
This guitar is every bit as good as the Martins or Taylors. I just received mine and it is awesome. The neck is lightning fast and the inlays and bindings are astounding. This guitar is beautiful and plays extremely well. The rosewood sides and back give a warm sound and the Sitca Spruce top give it resonation. You can't go wrong with this guitar.

I went into my local guitar store looking for the Guild Gad-25 but they had sold it a day earlier but when I saw this baby it was love at first sight and at first strum. This guitar has a full, lush, loud mellow sound. It is the perfect companion for the singersongwriter or guitarist. The sound beautiful plug or unplugged. The action was low and spot on with no buzz and when capoed on the 2nd and 4th fret it still sounded so full and lush. If your looking for great all around guitar then this is it. MIJ equals high quality.

I bought this for my son and it is absolute junk! Like 5 minutes after he opened the package, the strings snapped. It is junk, and I reccomend you do NOT buy this! SAVE YOUR MONEY.....BUY A ROGUE ACOUSTIC GUITAR AND MANDOLIN PACK!!!
Comments about Takamine EF360SC Acoustic Electric Guitar:
I have played many gigs with this guitar over the last 10 years and it is still going strong. It sounds great acoustic as well as through an amp. I have compared this Tak to many other guitars and none can match the over all sound and quality of this instrument. It looks beautiful and it is sturdy; the electronics are fabulous. The neck action is the next best thing to playing electric. This guitar is the most reliable guitar out there. I absolutely love this guitar!
Comments about Takamine EF360SC Acoustic Electric Guitar:
I am very pleased to see this guitar is still in production. I bought mine in 1996, and of all my guitars this is my second favorite electric and my #1 acoustic. I have small hands and the action is perfect for me. The sound is rich and the aesthetics could not be any nicer. Top quality build and frankly it is a great guitar. After nearly 13 years, this guitar has aged and mellowed to where the sound is much richer and the 'feel' of the guitar has become one with the player.I won't tell you what I paid 13 years ago for this guitar because it would make you sick, but I will tell you that if this Takamine is your thing, BUY it now!
Comments about Takamine EF360SC Acoustic Electric Guitar:
I have had this guitar for about 2 years. It took me almost that long to find the right one. Almost bought a Gibson and a Guild a couple of different times, but this one blew my mind. Best built it preamp I have ever played on, aside from the Taylor expression system. There are like 18 banks, 9 preset and 9 of your own, can be fully customizable with eq, gain, etc. With that and the rosewood back, BEAUTIFUL sounding guitar. One of my best purchases
Comments about Takamine EF360SC Acoustic Electric Guitar:
As soon as I opened the case, I was awed by this instrument. The photo does not truly show the instrument's beauty and detail. Look at Takamine's site if you want to see the real deal. O.k, nut and bolts... The action on this guitar is incredible, nice and low with no buzz at any fret position. Frets are perfect, evenly crowned, no rough edges. I tend to be a heavy handed strummer and had no problems. The sound on the guitar is big and booming- as a dread should be. Tons of tone, full mids and nice highs from the spruce top and rosewood back. Low end is great too. Exactly, what you should expect from a rosewood backed guitar. I put it up against a friend's martin HD-28 and the tak held its own. Fingerpicked notes are clear with plenty of volume. Plugged in, the instrument shines as well. Not metallic sounding. Very nice reproduction of the acoustic sound. Plugged it into the PA and had my tone set in about 10 minutes. Beautiful. The CTB4 system is awesome. On board tuner is nice and accurate, tested against my stage tuner and it was dead on. Made in Japan does not equal Made in China. This is a finely crafted instrument and an exceptional value. The pros are not wrong- get it.
Comments about Takamine EF360SC Acoustic Electric Guitar:
I spent about a month at a local guitar store, trying out different acoustic guitars (Martins, Taylors, Gibsons, Epiphones, you name it), the prices ranging from $200 to $4,500. I finally found this guitar and knew I had found my match. The neck was perfect and easy to access, the strings were not too high (again easier access), the electronics were excellent (when plugged in I was speechless), and it was just BEAUTIFUL to look at. If had to find a fault, it would be with the value; the rosewood sides/back and spruce top were really the only parts that should have warranted maybe around the price. Really, the gold tuners and designed rosette are just for flair. I managed to get a discount. That was a deal I couldn't refuse. Other than this, I recommend the Takamine EF360SC 100% over all other guitars in its price range, even over far pricier acoustics.
