Comments about Takamine EG460SC NEX Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This guitar is very well made. It plays very easy with low action. It was my 2nd guitar and a certain upgrade from a Washburn D10. I play fingerstyle alot on and it seems much better for that than others I have played. Overall I am satisfied with it and would recommend a Takamine as a great guitar without a huge price.

Couldn't ask for more

Comments about Takamine EG460SC NEX Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

My first guitar was a Little Martin, and I really liked the tone and its ability to take anywhere and not worry about scratches, weather, etc. But this guitar is a Little Martin (LXME), with little space for my fingers, so I decided that my next guitar would be full size, real nice wood, and I wanted nice tone too. I decided on this Takamine EG460SC. I'm not a pro musician, I don't even know any pro musicians nor have handled any of their very expensive guitars, but after receiving this guitar and seeing the high quality workmanship, hearing the incredible tone, I can't imagine that their guitars produce a far superior sound or better craftsmanship. I find only two items which detract from the perfection of my Takamine. One, the Spruce on the face of the body has one area of wave in the grain which detracts slightly from the look. Two, the neck is made from a stackup of Mahagony instead of a solid piece, and one of the layers is lighter in color than the others. Other than these two cosmetic issues, I think this guitar is as close to perfect as it gets. Action is great, tuners are good, strings are good, it stays in tune for weeks, unpluggd it sounds great and amplified it will send you into another dimension. When I hold this, it is like holding my lover, I don't want to put it down. Just making beautiful music together. The best part of all of this is that this I didn't have to pay an arm and three didgets to get it. For the price of a Martin or Taylor, I get this guitar, a case, strap, amplifier, stands, and music lessons to boot. I am really impressed and pleased with my Takamine and highly recommend that you at least try one out before buying anything else.

Comments about Takamine EG460SC NEX Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I wanted a small body guitar to Gig with instead taking out my Martin HD28 all the time and getting nervous about it being stolen. I bought this guitar and set the action low the way I like it, and it was so easy as the geometry on the manufacture of this instrument was perfect. The guitar is absolutely beautiful to look at. The sound unplugged is so rich with expression that it blows me away. Plugged in and played through my acoustic GenzBenz amp, the electronics capture the rich tones and acoustic elements I love. The electronics are simple and clean. I found my perfect setting and rarely change them. I spent a whole month giging in USVI with the guitar and it stood up perfectly. The TAK case survived the airport without a scratch. Guitar is an amazing value!

Comments about Takamine EG460SC NEX Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Simply put, you'd be hard pressed to find a better value for your money. I I was looking for a good inexpensive guitar to take on trips and play on stage when I didn't want to risk using my expensive Gibson or Martin guitars. I wasn't expecting it to approach the quality of my other guitars. I was pleasantly surprised when this arrived. First I was struck by it's beauty and then by the easy playing neck. Perfect action and neck width for me. The sound is loud and the tone is rich and balanced. It's solid spruce top and beautiful rosewood back and sides make this guitar worth much more. Add to that a graphic eq and a built-in tuner, this is a must have guitar. I like playing this better than my Martin.

Comments about Takamine EG460SC NEX Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

At first I was a little undecided about which guitar to purchase. But when this baby came in, I couldn't have been more satisfied with the tone, quality, and everything about this guitar. The built in tuner is dead on. I love everything about this guitar. It sounds absolutely amazing! Both plugged in and unplugged. I HIGHLY recommend this guitar to anyone. If you have the money..wait no longer. This is the guitar for you!

Excellent Guitar!

Comments about Takamine EG460SC NEX Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This is a simply wonderful guitar, especially for the price! The abalone inlays along the sides, and sound hole, and the abalone snowflake inlays add so much to this guitar. Not only does this guitar look great, but it sounds as good as it looks. Though it of course is not as good as my Martin HD-28, this guitar gives you so much bang for your buck. The only bad thing I can say about this guitar is it is a bit brighter than I like, and that is just personal preference. However, it is not a bright guitar. To give you an idea the tone is somewhere in between the dark, rich, and mellow tones of a Martin, and the sharp, twangy, bright tones of a Taylor. In addition to all of this, the guitar is extremely easy to play. The neck has a great feel, and the action is excellent. Even though it has a smaller body, it still has plenty of sound. It by no means lacks presence. It sounds just as good plugged in as it does unplugged. This is an excellent guitar and I strongly recommend it.

Takamine EG460SC

Comments about Takamine EG460SC NEX Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I played every acoustic guitar at the music store and I have to tell ya, this guitar sounds as good if not better than guitars costing 2 to 3 times more, she really comes to life plugged into a acoustic amp, Mine is a Kustom Sienna65. I've using Martin medium 80/20's strings and I play about 20 hours a week I'll go 3 weeks or more and she stays in the tone-zone befor changing strings, the only problem I've incountered so far is one of the tuners is acting alittle funny, I'm thinking of upgrading the tuners and going to a bone nut and saddle and then this will be an exceptional guitar, the electronic's work great and the tuner is awesome, fret any string at any fret and it will give you the note, if you are looking for a acoustic/electric, do yourself a favor and check this one out...
