Go for the undeniable fullness of a quality dreadnought.
Built on the popular dreadnought design, the Takamine EG530DLX acoustic-electric guitar from the G series is a louder, more powerful sounding guitar. The dreadnought has been the most popular and widely recognized acoustic guitar since its creation in the 1920s. Its broad top and deep body create a large resonant chamber that emphasizes bass response and provides a great deal of volume. This design excels in ensemble playing and is heavily favored by flat pick players.
The guitar's solid spruce top offers balanced tone, while the solid sapele body brings out plenty of projection. The dovetail neck joint, rosewood bridge and fretboard, and mahogany neck offer plenty of sustain, and the asymmetrical neck and 1-5/8" nut width provide comfort for intricate fretboard movements.
At the heart of this Takamine guitar is an impressive electronics system, letting you amplify your sound with intuitive frequency controls. The CP-100 pickup is an innovative pickup design over the conventional under the saddle piezo design. The dreadnought guitar uses a U-shaped aluminum rail, securing the pickup and saddle for a snug fit and balanced response from the instrument, not just pressure on the strings. The Takamine TK40 preamplifier features volume control, bass, middle and treble frequency slider controls, EQ bypass, a notch filter, tuner and a mid contour switch.
The Takamine EG530DLX guitar's gold hardware, gold tuners, and gloss finish adds a striking touch to this already beautiful instrument.

This guitar is great and well worth the price. I own several Taks including the G340C, EAN10C and TAN16C. This one falls right in between the low end (Chinese) and high end (Japanese) Taks in terms of sound and quality. However it will blow away other brands for the same price. The quality is great on set up and finish. The neck and binding look great with the abalone. Tuners are smooth. Sound from the solid top and back - excellent! After I do a Tusq saddle and pin mod - which I like to do (improve sound and achieve personal setup), I'm sure it will be just as good as high end Taks and up there with anything as far as sound is concerned. There no risk in getter this well built, made in Korea guitar. If you can get a deal - even better!
I've always been a huge fan of Takamine and after buying this guitar, I am even more so. I love the sound unplugged, but plugged in is even better. The deep lows are complimented with the rich mids and brilliant highs. I haven't even gotten this guitar set up by a professional yet and I'm completely satisfied.
The beauty of this guitar is just icing on the cake. The mother of pearl around the sound hole and edge of the top are beautiful. The pearl tuners and inlays on the fretboard just add to it.
It feels great, nice to play, looks great, and sounds amazing. Takamine knows how to do it right for a cheaper price.
For the price this is a beautiful guitar inside out. Beautiful sound right out of the box but not just the sound, the action and the looks that goes with it. Im very happy with it.
Cant be beat
Here is what this guitar is all about: It has 1 and 5/8" nut width as opposed to 1and 11/16th nut width of a standard guitar. This is narrow. It is about 4% narrower than already narrow 1and 11/16" nut width. I don't like this super narrow nut width, but everything else about this guitar is very very good.
This guitar also sounds nothing like Martin or a Taylor. It has a unique voice. I like it, but you have got try it I guess.
Good features... and Beautiful looking guitar.
It looks and feels very durable, but the finish is not perfect.
I got this guitar at a steal!
Solid Top, Solid Back, Takamine Pro features, Almost perfect Quality, etc.
