Worth the money

Comments about Takamine G Series EG360SC Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I love the full sound and look it has rich tones and is great for finger picking or strumming. I don't like that if you don't unplug the guitar the 9 volt battery for the preamp will die fast so you must constantly unplug it which could wear down the chord or guitar jack.

Pros

  • Beautiful tone
  • Good balance
  • Nice Bass
  • Slim neck

Cons

  • Little High On Action

Best Uses

Comments about Takamine G Series EG360SC Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I really like this guitar. It has a nice bass, good sustain, beautiful tone, and a nice design. The only thing I found that I didn't like was the action. It was just a bit high. I think it could be lowered a bit, to make it a lot more comfortable and less stressful. If you do decide to get this guitar, you may want to think about getting the action lowered, whether you do it yourself, or you have someone else do it. Otherwise, it has a very nice sound. Very good for light strummers and fingerpickers.

Takamine EG360SC dreadnought cutaway

Pros

  • Great price
  • Light Weight
  • Wonderful sound

Cons

Comments about Takamine G Series EG360SC Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have been wanting an Acoustic/Electric cutaway for a while. I have played numerous guitars in my search from Taylor, Martin, Etc..... and was leaning hard on buying a Taylor 214CE. It had the feel I liked and has a great sound IMPO. I went on a cruise and there was a musician there that had this same guitar and I was amazed on how great this guitar sounded (plugged and unplugged)and how nice it looked. When I got back home I ordered it. I ordered it without ever holding or playing this guitar and figured I had the 45 day return policy if I wasnt happy. I throwed the box away 3 days after I got it.

When it arrived I was a little disappointed on how high the action was from the factory. I pulled the strings off and pulled the bridge out and there were 2 plastic spacers under it that I removed. I strung the guitar back up and it is now perfect (for me anyhow).

In my personel opinion you cant go wrong with this guitar especially in this price range. The Takamine was $400 cheaper than the Taylor I was looking at and is as good or better.

Try one, I dont think you can go wrong with it.

Everyone has a feel and sound they are looking for and what one person likes another won't. Play whatever you like and what feels and sounds good to you. I bought this without ever holding or hearing this guitar and I am extremely happy with it. I am glad I did because it saved me $400.00 from the guitar I was going to buy.

      Highly Recomended!!

Comments about Takamine G Series EG360SC Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Whether it is plugged in or unplugged this thing purrs. I ordered it online without trying it out previously and everything about it was better than expected. The guitar features a nice low action and is fairly light weight. The automatic tuner is very reliable. The only pain was screwing on the peg for the strap. I highly recommend this for any guitarist. In my opinion, You cannot go wrong on this affordable beauty.

      BEST ACOUSTIC/ELECTRIC OUT THERE

      By MarcinZach

Comments about Takamine G Series EG360SC Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

alright so this guitar definately stood out when i was looking for a guitar.. this guitar is easily comparable to a 3000 dolar gibson hummingbird. and honestly most people would probobly prefer this guitar to the gibson.. i play in an indie band and i always use this guitar through an amp in shows and practises the the built in pre amp is awesome and can give u a sweet sound for watever u want to play.. but even with out the amp this guitar sounds immaculate.. i have martin medium weight strings on it and o my gosh does it sound good. i definatley recomend this combo.. u will never be able to buy/ play another guitar.. and that is acutally my problem.. i cant play another acoustic.. everytime i think of buying another one in the store i play a few and notice how different it is and i jsut cant do it!!!bottom line.. this guitar.. is .. AMAZING!!

      Great guitar for the price.

Comments about Takamine G Series EG360SC Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar a couple of weeks ago and I fell in love immediately when I tried it out. It sounds great for its price tag, and it was definitely what I was looking for. Very easy to play, and pretty loud as well! This would be good for use outdoors, especially since it is also pretty light. The built-in tuner seems to spazz a little at times, but I'm not worried about it.It sounds just as good through an amp as it does unplugged! The factory set-up is great; I didn't need to change anything. I'm not too fond of the strings they used, but that's a personal thing.

      Good value for the money...

Comments about Takamine G Series EG360SC Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This is a wonderful guitar to play. Bright sounding, looks good and built in Tuner is big bonus. Only thing is the built-in Pickup/Tuner... looks kinda cheesy. I would have rated it higher except for the plastic Pickup/tuner. But at the end of the day... if your looking for complete guitar package with a reasonable price tag, check out the EG360SC.

This Guitar is great. The abalone along the sides and on the fret board is realy cool. The tone is clear and doesn't buzz. It's light for an acoustic. It's a great quality guitar for a good price.
