OVERVIEW

Comfortable body design, powerful tonewoods, classic finish, and state-of-the-art preamp.

The Takamine G Series EG450 Deluxe NEX Mahogany Acoustic-Electric Guitar is designed to catch the eyes as well as the ears of the audience. This model is "deluxe" in every way.

Built on the incredibly comfortable Takamine NEX small jumbo body shape, the EG450 is first and foremost a player's guitar. The tone is powerful and balanced and will sit prominently in the mix. The neck is solid and fast and adorned with beautiful genuine abalone inlay to guide the hand along the entire length of the fretboard.

An impeccably executed "vintage" sunburst adds to the beauty of the solid spruce top and is accented by the exquisitely inlayed pickguard which finishes off the classic vibe of the instrument.

The live performance capability of this model is driven by the potent, yet easy to dial in TP4T preamp, which features bass, mid, and treble control as well as a built-in digital tuner.

Comments about Takamine G Series EG450 Deluxe NEX Mahogany Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I BOUGHT THIS USED LEVEL 4....WAS SCARED IT HAD MORE WRONG THAN WAS LISTED....IT CAME JUST AS DESCRIBED .....BEST SOUNDING GUITAR I EVER OWNED...CHANGED THE DEAD STRINGS WITH ELIXERS...TUNED IT ...PLAYED IT FOR AN HOUR RETUNING TWICE...PLUGED IT IN TO SEE IF IT WORKED... NO DOUBT THE BEST SOUNDING AMPLIFIED GUITAR I EVER PLAYED...THIS IS A WORKING MUSICIANS INSTRUMENT....THE REASON THIS GUITAR WAS RETURNED ...THE BUILT IN TUNER WONT STAY ON LONGER THAN ONE STRING...THAT SAID ...IT IS THE MOST ACCURATE TUNER ON THE MARKET...DEAD PERFECT...THIS GUITAR MAKES YOU A BETTER PLAYER WITH ITS TONE AND TUNING ABILITY...THIS IS MY SECOND TAKAMINE SO I KNEW WHAT WAS COMING BUT IT WAS EVEN BETTER THAN I EXPECTED

Comments about Takamine G Series EG450 Deluxe NEX Mahogany Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I was certain for the price and with the beauty of this guitar, I would get a decent instrument. I could not have been more wrong. This almost sounds like a steel dobro unplugged. Plugged it is harsh and unnatural. Like an electric with no distortion and treble turned up. I am a professional musician and songwriter, played nearly all the greats and some cheap guitars that were awesome, too. I have a beater Yamaha that I got for two digits hat sounds better. Out of the box, first notice is it looks great. Second, it is like a lead weight. Third. Once tuned up it buzzed on the frets until you got down to about the 10th, mostly on the upper strings. Seemed it had no setup job. As I play plugged often, I hoped that maybe it was built for that. No. It was pitiful. I really cannot discourage you from this more. I have played some great Takamines. This one is a risk to their reputation in my opinion.

Comments about Takamine G Series EG450 Deluxe NEX Mahogany Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have been waiting to get this guitar for a while. My wife got it for me manufacture refurbished. It doesn't matter, I fell in love anyway. It's real easy to play.(pick or strum)I am playing whenever I can to "break it in". It sounds pretty good now, but I can't wait for the Spruce top to open up. It'll be worth it.
