An acoustic-electric guitar worthy of this Eagle's name.

The Glenn Frey Signature acoustic-electric dreadnought-style guitar features a solid spruce top, solid rosewood back, and rosewood sides. This Takamine guitar offers scalloped X-bracing, chrome tuning machines, white cab binding, and a striking natural gloss finish.

The Glenn Frey Signature acoustic-electric's CT4B preamp is designed for ease of use and purity of tone. The CT4B consists of 3 bands of graphic EQ tone control, a volume control slider and a built-in chromatic tuner.

This signature guitar is beautiful—making is obvious why one of the Eagles' founders is proud to lend it his name. The label on each guitar is signed by Glenn Frey .

    Amazing guitar

    By Robert Russell

Comments about Takamine Glenn Frey Signature Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I recently played this guitar at a local music store. I'm a huge Eagles fan so as soon as I saw Glenn Frey's name on this guitar I had to try it out. It blew be away with the first chord I strummed. Amazing tone. I own a few acoustic guitars and I've played hundreds. This guitar sounds better than 99% of the acoustic guitars I've ever played. The tone is close to a Martin d-28 but with more clarity and bass response. This guitar would be great for flatpicking bluegrass. Just throw a SM57 in front of it and boom! Bluegrass cannon! Also a great finger picking guitar. Takamine has outdone themselves on this one. My next investment!

a martin? no, sounds too good.

Comments about Takamine Glenn Frey Signature Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I put it all in features and forgot to put it here and i cant copy it.
Ok so I recently became interested in acoustic guitars when I picked up my uncles Martin and fell in love with it, it sounded incredibly more full and beautiful than my electric and I didn't have to deal with chords and amplifiers and all that crap to play with freinds, family, open mics, teaching ect. so one day while I was working with him he decided to pick up some speaker cables for his new mixer and we went to a local music/gunshop/barber shop, (yeah you're probably thinking this is some little hole in the wall on some mountain that doesnt have anything worth looking at, it's not. its has a huge selection of guitars and drums and amplifiers just also guns and a barber chair.) so we went in there and after looking at a few other takamines (that were IN my price range.) i saw this and except for the headstock it is a reincarnation of my uncles martin looks exactly like it so i asked if i could play it and he said play anyting you want, so i picked it up and sat down, (and a little background unlike most music shops this one puts expensive strings on all its guitars and sets them up and tunes them, so i didn't have to worry about any of that.P.S. the strings were daddario exp 13 guage.) and the first thing i noticed before i even strummed was that it was MUCH easier to fret than my uncles martin and then i started playing it and it was also a lot louder and it even sounded better. i was astounded considering the price of this guitar is coniderably less than that of my uncles the fact that he has his setup and inspected every three months and puts martin strings on it compared to the daddario exp 13s that are about a fifth the price needless to say i dont think as much of martins anymore. if your looking for a loud, classically styled beautiful guitar this is it. at a much cheaper price.

Comments about Takamine Glenn Frey Signature Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I recently played this guitar at the local music store and I have to say it was awesome. I could not put it down. Besides the fact that Glenn Frey signs the labels, the tone is beautiful. I own a Takamine guitar and have loved them for years and I think they've outdone theirselves on this one.

    A guitar that sings.

    By Starbuck

    from sweet home ala

Comments about Takamine Glenn Frey Signature Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

With all the signature guitars out there, this is one that is a true piece of art. Just the idea of Glenn Frey signing the label inside makes it a really cool collectors piece. This guitar sounds so sweet. I own a few guitars that cost twice as much as this one and I must say this one is my favorite.
