The Takamine TFF87PT New Yorker Body Koa Acoustic-Electric Guitar is a little piece of paradise, right in your lap. That's the way to describe this sweet little cedar over koa New Yorker bodied guitar.

Built using the magical combination of a solid cedar top on solid koa back and sides, the voice of the Takamine TFF87PT is just as happy strumming out an island tune as it is finger picking a happy "Rag Time" melody. Harmonic richness, clarity, sustain, it's all in there in great measure.

Designed to evoke the style of guitar and the music played in the early 20th century, this small bodied TFF87PT features the classic look of a slotted headstock but provides the extended range and modern playability of a slender, 14 fret neck and 21 highly polished nickel silver frets.

An artfully applied inlay of a swaying palm tree at sunset highlights the 12th fret. The sunset theme continues with the light burst that accentuates the high-grade cedar top and blends exquisitely with the natural koa back and sides.

The Takamine TFF87PT is equipped with a "beyond-state-of-the-art" pickup and preamp system featuring the CTP-2 CoolTube preamp. The CTP-2 has an on-board tube preamp with bass and treble tone controls, a semi-parametric midrange, a second-source input and blend control, and a chromatic tuner.

Out on the beach at sunset, on the front porch in early afternoon, or center stage on Saturday night the TF87PT delivers the musicality players have come to expect from Takamine for nearly 50 years.
